At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong highly appreciated the participation of the high-ranking delegation led by Chairman of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen at the recent 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The Deputy Minister also did not forget to thank Cambodia for sending the Royal Army to participate in the parade and march at the ceremony. This is a very beautiful image that the Vietnamese people love and enjoy, continuing to demonstrate the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that in recent years, trade between the two countries has grown very well.

The Deputy Minister hopes to coordinate with the Embassy and relevant agencies to increase the trade turnover between the two countries to 20 billion USD. In addition, other areas of cooperation such as investment of enterprises of both sides, cooperation between localities, tourism cooperation, etc. still have a lot of room to promote development together.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong happily assessed that the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship has made positive progress in recent times, strengthening the trust and solidarity between the two Parties, States and peoples.

The meeting between the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), the meeting between the heads of the three parties of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos (VCL) and the meeting of the three VCL Prime Ministers in February 2025 have oriented the cooperation between the two countries to develop substantially and effectively.

Cooperation mechanisms such as the Joint Committee and the Conference on Cooperation and Development of Vietnam-Cambodia border provinces will contribute to realizing the commitments and agreements of the two countries' senior leaders.
