Improving psychological counseling skills for children who are abused and exploited in cyberspace

Training class scene

The training course was attended by 35 trainees representing the Child Protection Board of Thuong Hoa (Minh Hoa), Kim Thuy (Le Thuy), Truong Son ( Quang Ninh ) communes and leaders and teachers of a number of schools in the above communes.

Lecturer introduces basic and specialized consultation skills and processes in child intervention and assistance.

The lecturers provided knowledge, skills to intervene and assist children and young parents in preventing, combating and responding to child sexual abuse and harassment in cyberspace in the community; how to recognize symptoms of trauma and re-traumatization in children who are victims of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation in cyberspace.

 

Trainees also strengthen their counseling skills and practice applying principles and intervention plans (counseling, advising) with children about sexual abuse and sexual exploitation in cyberspace.

The program belongs to the Project "Community-based model to support children who are victims of violence and abuse in cyberspace for the period 2023-2025".
