The ceremony to announce the Decision to establish and launch the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Quang Nam province has just taken place solemnly and impressively in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province. In a space imbued with national cultural identity, the ceremony attracted a large number of delegates, artists and Ao Dai lovers from all over the country.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund, after a series of events launching Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Clubs on a large scale, domestically and internationally, the launching ceremony of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Quang Nam province is not only an important milestone in the work of preserving and promoting the value of traditional ao dai, but also an opportunity to further honor a long-standing cultural symbol - the Vietnamese ao dai - an intangible heritage that has entered the hearts of Vietnamese people as well as deep in the national consciousness.
The event was organized by the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in collaboration with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund. The program opened with a special Ao Dai performance with the participation of more than 60 members from localities in the province such as Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen, Dai Loc, Que Son, Hoi An, Phu Ninh, Tam Ky and Da Nang City.
Famous as a land of unique tangible and intangible cultural heritage values, the space of those traditional identity values is further highlighted by the radiance of the national ao dai, stirring the emotions of the viewers. The symbol of national culture is crystallized and affirmed through the unique costumes of the Vietnamese people, over the centuries it has become a symbol of the spirit, emotions and temperament of Vietnam.
The art program took place with many special performances, deeply imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity: the dance " Homeland of the Three Regions " performed by Tam Dan group, the song "Vietnamese Ao Dai" sung by blind singer Truong Thi Bich Diem, and the performance of Ao Dai with the music "A Glimpse of Homeland" by Tam Ky group. Each performance is a vivid slice of the beauty of Ao Dai in life and art.
At the ceremony, Ms. Khuc Thi Dau, Vice President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, solemnly announced the Decision of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Conservation Support Fund on the establishment of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Quang Nam province.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, President of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, presented the Decision to establish the Quang Nam Province Ao Dai Heritage Club to Ms. Le Thi Thu, President of the Club.
Receiving this Decision, Ms. Le Thi Thu, Director of the Quang Cultural Heritage Center, Chairwoman of the Club confided: "The establishment of the Club is a meaningful milestone, opening a space to connect people who love Ao Dai, together preserving and spreading traditional values in contemporary life."
Also within the framework of the program, the Club's Board of Directors was introduced, including vice chairmen and representatives of the communication, charity, foreign affairs, advisory departments... The Board of Directors includes many prominent figures in the fields of culture, arts,education and research in Quang Nam.
A meaningful highlight of the program was the presentation of a documentary video introducing the Club's outstanding activities in recent times: from art performances, thematic discussions, organizing traditional ao dai sewing classes in rural areas, to volunteer programs for the community.
The dance performance One Round of Vietnam by the Tam Ky unit concluded the exchange and conveyed a strong message about the Ao Dai - the thread connecting the past, present and future - which is still persistently spreading as an inseparable symbol of the Vietnamese soul.
The dedicated members of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Quang Nam province said that with this profound meaning, not only honoring the cultural beauty through the Ao Dai symbol, the Club will actively participate in social activities to multiply the meanings and connect with the community.
During the ceremony, through the Association for the Support of the Disabled, Children’s Rights and Poor Patients of Quang Nam Province, the Club presented 60 gifts worth 30 million VND to poor students who have overcome difficulties. The gifts were sponsored by benefactors who have always accompanied many charity activities of the Club in the past time.
The message of honoring and spreading the values of national cultural identity through a series of events to establish Vietnamese Ao Dai Cultural Heritage Clubs in provinces and cities in general, and in Quang Nam in particular, through the event was strongly raised.
Accompanying the flow of history, culture and national soul, Vietnamese Ao Dai is forever an everlasting symbol, one of the values that identify the Vietnamese cultural brand in the journey of international integration, in the new era - the era of national growth.
