Ninh Hoa Ward organizes voluntary blood donation festival

On November 16, the Red Cross Society of Ninh Hoa Ward coordinated with the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation to organize a voluntary blood donation festival with the theme "Red color of Ninh Hoa - spreading love". The festival was attended by more than 250 cadres, party members, civil servants, employees, workers of agencies, unions and people.

After examination, nearly 200 people who met the health requirements were able to donate blood. The blood collected, nearly 200 units, was transferred to the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center for final testing and screening before being transferred to hospitals to perform emergency and treatment work for patients.

Since the two-level local government came into operation, this is the fourth time Ninh Hoa ward residents have participated in the voluntary blood donation festival. The total amount of blood collected through four sessions is nearly 1,000 units. The program has demonstrated the spirit of community and volunteerism of Ninh Hoa ward residents in sharing donated blood to save lives.
