Severe heat, demand for clean water in rural areas increases sharply

A representative of the Hai Duong Province Rural Water and Sanitation Joint Stock Company said that due to the extremely hot weather, the demand for clean water in many rural areas within the company's water supply area has increased by about 25% compared to normal.

Since the beginning of the year, Hai Duong Rural Water and Sanitation Joint Stock Company has invested over 9 billion VND to improve the quality and capacity of clean water supply in rural areas.

According to Hai Duong Province Clean Water and Rural Sanitation Joint Stock Company, on June 1-2, due to the extremely hot weather, the demand for clean water in many rural areas within the unit's water supply scope increased by about 25% compared to normal weather (normal water supply capacity reaches an average of about 55,000 m³/day and night). Despite the increased demand, the unit still ensures enough clean water for people in rural areas within the enterprise's water supply scope.

Since the beginning of the year, Hai Duong Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Joint Stock Company has produced and supplied more than 6.7 million m³ of commercial clean water, an increase of 8% over the same period last year. The rate of clean water loss has decreased to 16.2%.
