Russian precision strikes are destroying numerous military facilities belonging to Kiev forces in Ukraine's rear areas and near the front line, including enterprises where Ukrainian troops are repairing damaged military equipment.
A video taken by a Russian reconnaissance drone has confirmed a successful Russian attack on one of the civilian enterprises used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for military purposes. The Russian missile hit the factory about 30 km west of Artyomovsk (formerly Bakhmut).
The facility is used to repair military equipment, including that supplied by NATO.
Judging by the published video, the SF site believes that the attack took place some time ago, before the weather turned rainy and cold air entered Ukraine.
According to reports from local military sources, the attack destroyed at least 12 units of armored fighting vehicles, including three armored personnel carriers and at least one tank, along with 50 soldiers, including foreign citizens.
Also on October 16, the SF website reported on a new wave of attacks in response to Ukraine's efforts to conduct large-scale drone attacks on the Russian border area.
Earlier, on the night of October 16, drones and missiles of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked infrastructure and military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Poltava, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Khmelnytsky, Vinnitsa, Cherkassy, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Explosions were heard in the cities of Dnepropetrovks, Kremenchuk, Kramatorsk, Kropivnitsky.
The targets attacked last night included several Ukrainian military airports. According to local reports, the airport in Mirgorod, Poltava region, was damaged. Military facilities at Starokonstantinov airport in Khmelnitsky region and Kaidaki (Dnepr) airport in Dnepropetrovsk region were also attacked.
The Ukrainian military has tried its best to move the remaining planes to different airports to avoid mass destruction.
