Many textile and garment workers are excited about stable jobs, overtime, and increased income.

Workers busy producing

Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company (located in Thong Nhat commune) currently has nearly 2,300 employees. In the first 6 months of 2025, production revenue increased by 126% and processing revenue reached 117% compared to the same period in 2024, the average income of employees reached 8.2 million VND/person/month. Currently, the company has orders until June 2026, creating jobs and stable income for employees. In recent months, the company has organized unexpected rewards to encourage workers to work effectively and productively.

Ms. Dao Ngoc Thuy Trang, a worker at Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company, said that working in a professional environment, the company owner cares about the policies and regimes, which helps her have more motivation to stick with the company and improve product quality.

“Over the past months, workers have been very excited because of the abundant orders, creating regular jobs, ensuring workers' lives. I hope the company will maintain the current production pace to develop further and improve workers' income,” Ms. Trang shared.

Mr. Ngo Ngoc Thuan, Deputy Director of Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company, said that after the Covid-19 pandemic and the impact of the global economic recession, the company gradually rearranged and re-planned the entire factory and by 2024, the company had shown signs of recovery and growth. In the first 6 months of 2025, Dong Phu Cuong basically completed the plan and exceeded the production schedule of orders. The company proactively developed production sources to create stable jobs and increase income for employees with an increase of 21% compared to the same period in 2024. Recently, the company paid a direct bonus in cash to employees with the amount of 800,000 VND/person, the total bonus amount was about 1.7 billion VND.

At Hoang Gia GMT Company Limited (located in Binh Minh commune, specializing in the production of export and domestic garments), the working atmosphere in the factories is bustling. On average, more than 100 workers here produce about 38,000 products per month. Although the number of export orders to the US has recently decreased slightly due to customers' concerns about fluctuating tariff policies, the company is still flexible in finding other orders to ensure enough jobs for workers. The company has orders until the end of October 2025 and it is expected that the number of orders will increase near Tet.

Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Nhung, a worker at Hoang Gia GMT Company Limited, shared that she has worked at the company for 13 years and is satisfied with the stable and united working environment. In addition, the company's leaders always take the time to visit the factories to learn about the lives and jobs and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the workers. Therefore, even though there were times when there were few orders and no overtime, she still stuck with the company and overcame difficulties. Currently, regular orders and stable jobs are the motivation for her to focus on her work and be ready to teach and share experiences with new workers.

According to data from the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas), in the first 5 months of 2025, the industry's total export turnover reached over 17.58 billion USD, an increase of 9% over the same period in 2024. With this recovery momentum, the textile and garment industry is expected to continue to grow in the coming time, bringing confidence and stable income to millions of workers across the country.

Many benefits to retain employees

According to records at textile and garment enterprises in the province, the textile and garment industry is showing many positive signs. Export orders are increasing again, many enterprises have signed long-term contracts with major partners, creating a stable growth momentum. Many factories have increased output, expanded production, recruited more workers and restored welfare regimes for workers. The working atmosphere at garment factories has become busier and more bustling.

Saitex International Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (located in Amata Industrial Park, specializing in the production of jeans for export to the US and European markets), is recruiting hundreds of unskilled workers in the garment industry and skilled workers to serve production. The company expands its policies to attract workers. To retain workers, in addition to the policies signed in the collective labor agreement, the company annually coordinates with the grassroots trade union to organize a sports festival with many sports and entertainment activities, helping workers restore their health.

For unskilled workers, free training with salary will be provided.

In particular, to attract resources, Elite Long Thanh Company Limited has other support policies such as: integration support up to 4 million VND in the first 6 months; performance, quality, competition, outstanding task completion bonuses and 13th month salary bonus. In addition, child allowance support of 260 thousand VND/child/month (applicable to both fathers and mothers working at the company, unlimited number of children). This company also supports vehicles to return home for Tet for employees, supports bank loans with preferential interest rates; supports finding accommodation for new employees...

According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, the textile and garment industry has expanded its export markets to 132 countries and territories. In addition to the main export markets, textile and garment enterprises are actively expanding their market share in many other large and potential markets. The association is confident that enterprises will always proactively find and remove bottlenecks to create stability and develop production in the third and fourth quarters of 2025. From there, they will overcome challenges and achieve the export target of 48 billion USD set for 2025.
