After receiving feedback from press agencies and public opinion on social networks, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An sent a document to the People's Committee of Vinh city, requesting to rectify tourism services at Cua Lo beach.
During this year's summer tourist season, Vinh City People's Committee has implemented four free services including: Vehicle parking, shower, public toilets and internet to better serve residents and tourists coming to Cua Lo beach.
Although highly appreciated by locals and tourists, in reality these services have not met expectations, revealing many shortcomings, especially during the peak days of the April 30 and May 1 holidays.
The document of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An clearly pointed out the shortcomings of free services at Cua Lo beach. Specifically, tourists reported that the shower area had small water dripping, and that tourists had to queue up to shower; the changing area had a bad smell, and the entire public sanitation system was not guaranteed; the parking lot was disorganized and arranged haphazardly, causing loss of parking space, loss of aesthetics and inconvenience for tourists.
The situation of jet skis entering tourist bathing areas to pick up and drop off passengers, soliciting, swinging, and driving at high speed is dangerous and unsafe for tourists while bathing.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An requested the People's Committee of Vinh City to direct relevant departments and units to rectify and overcome the above-mentioned shortcomings and inadequacies to serve, ensure safety and create a sense of comfort for people and tourists when coming to Cua Lo beach.
Speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Head of the Department of Culture - Science and Information of Vinh city, said that, implementing the request of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An, Vinh city has urgently overcome the shortcomings of free services at Cua Lo beach.
Vinh City directed the management unit to install 2 more shower heads and increase the number of shower heads to 20 to increase capacity to serve residents and tourists. In addition, to overcome the problem of "dripping" shower heads, the city added 3 water tanks of 2,000 liters/tank, replacing the pump with a larger capacity.
The city also renovated and renewed toilets and changing rooms; repainted lines at free parking lots; directed functional units and ward authorities to strengthen inspection and handling of jet skis operating in beach areas...
Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company (the unit temporarily managing and operating the free services) also established 3 specialized teams with 50 people to speed up the repair and upgrade of services to better serve people and tourists when coming to Cua Lo beach.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province requested the People's Committee of Vinh city to step up propaganda for people and tourists about maintaining public hygiene, strengthen supervision to handle cases of intentional violations that cause bad image of Cua Lo tourism; establish interdisciplinary inspection teams and coordinate with relevant departments and branches in inspecting and supervising jet ski service activities at sea to detect and strictly handle violations.
