Recently, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Nghe An province organized training and coaching to improve community capacity according to the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period (National Target Program 1719).
The training participants are Party cell secretaries, deputy secretaries, village chiefs, deputy village chiefs; mass organizations; community supervision boards; community representatives, people, poverty reduction collaborators, infrastructure maintenance teams in villages and hamlets, and prestigious people in the community.

During the 3 days (from November 10-12), the participants were exposed to 3 topics on Information Technology Application Skills for the community and people in production and business activities; skills in building and operating groups, accessing markets, linking production and consumption of agricultural products according to value chains; skills in implementing gender equality and promoting the role of women in developing the household economy and groups of households to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
In 2025, the whole province had thousands of people trained and improved their capacity under Project 5, National Target Program 1719. Also in 2025, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions coordinated to organize 9 training and capacity building seminars; of which, 6 were for the community and 3 were for commune-level officials across the province.
During the period 2021 - 2025, Sub-project 2, Project 5, National Target Program 1719 has provided ethnic knowledge training for 3,768 cadres, civil servants and public employees of target groups 3 and 4 at all levels in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; provided ethnic knowledge training for 409 police and military officers performing tasks in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
As for Sub-project 4, Project 5, National Target Program 1719 on capacity building training for communities and program implementation officers at all levels, the whole province has trained and fostered knowledge and skills to implement the program for 4,144 district and commune level officials, civil servants and public employees; trained and fostered knowledge and skills to implement the program for 3,794 community representatives and people in villages and hamlets. In addition, 210 officers directly implementing the program have participated in study trips and experience exchanges.
In addition, in 2025, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions will also organize 10 knowledge training courses, providing information to village chiefs and prestigious people among ethnic minorities.
In the 2021 - 2025 period of the National Target Program 1719, the whole province organized a meeting to present gifts to 250 delegates who are typical prestigious people; organized 5 delegations of prestigious people to learn from experiences inside and outside the province.
