'The teaching profession and the noble but arduous career of educating people'

The Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Vietnam Youth Union to organize a meeting with teachers participating in the "Sharing with teachers" program and outstanding young teachers at the central level in 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association, said that the 2024 "Sharing with Teachers" program honored 60 outstanding teachers. In addition, 99 young teachers in the provincial, municipal and affiliated youth unions were also selected for honor by the Central Council for "Outstanding Young Teachers" Awards.

“The teachers in both programs are true 'fire-lighters', making silent but extremely valuable contributions to the country's education career,” Mr. Triet emphasized.

Teachers were honored at the "Sharing with Teachers" program.

The teachers also discussed and shared the difficulties in the teaching process; the motivations that helped them to be dedicated and devoted to their profession; and their wishes and aspirations regarding policies for teachers in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas. The teachers also shared their experiences in professional work, teaching, and supporting students in life and study.

After listening to the sharing, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and dedication of the teachers.

“The teaching profession and the career of educating people are like ferries, and without sharing, the ferries will probably still quietly cross the river. But perhaps we really need attention, sharing, recognition, understanding, empathy and responsibility so that the sharing does not stop at the spirit but must also include more practical policies and mechanisms,” said Deputy Minister Chi.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi also presented Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training to 60 outstanding teachers nationwide in 2024. The ceremony to honor teachers participating in the "Sharing with Teachers" program in 2024 was held in Hanoi on the evening of November 15.
