(NLDO) - Artist Diep Tuyet Anh's daughter said that the female artist has metastatic liver cancer and has just undergone gallbladder surgery.

She breathed her last breath at 9:30 on January 24 at her home in Binh Duong . Her passing left behind the grief of many fellow artists and audiences who loved the reformed theater. Once a famous singer of the reformed theater and born into a family with a tradition of art, Diep Tuyet Anh was once a shining star.
She was born in 1950 and was loved for her many tragic roles in plays such as: "Giọt mẫu mẫu của bạn" (Drop of Blood of Wronged Grudge), "Bến Trung Phun", "Mầu đen đồng noc nan", "Cô gai Bích Vân Lâu", "Bao Công tra án Quách Hòe", "Buốc qua số mệnh", "Hoa mai trang", "Noi nhi xa xu", "Bạch Hoa Thôn Cát"...
She has mentored many generations of famous young artists and always gives lessons to her juniors. She had a happy marriage with the late Meritorious Artist Thanh Sang, but later the two broke up, but still considered each other colleagues in life.
During the last years of her life, artist Diep Tuyet Anh lived in poverty. She left the theater troupe to make a living by renting wedding dresses.

Recently, Ms. Thanh - her daughter brought her to Binh Duong to take care of her. Not long ago, the Mai Vang Charity program gave her gifts during the Mai Vang Gala at the Youth Cultural House. She also regularly brought her grandchildren to receive scholarships from the late musician - Meritorious Artist Bac Son and the late People's Artist Bay Nam.
In a recent conversation with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, she said her health was very poor, she discovered a tumor in her liver that had metastasized. In this situation, the doctor advised surgery to clear the gallbladder, to avoid jaundice. She confided that she could only live day by day, not believing that the disease would go away.
After undergoing gallbladder surgery, her health improved. Doctors said the surgery was to remove jaundice, and her eating habits improved. However, because her immune system was too weak, she passed away, leaving her family, friends, and colleagues in mourning.
People's Artist Kim Cuong said that every year, Diep Tuyet Anh's name was on the list of Tet gifts from "Soulmate Artist". She was gentle, active, and always brought joy to everyone. The sudden passing of Diep Tuyet Anh in the days leading up to the year of At Ty left a huge void, especially for the audience who loved the art of Cai Luong.
The funeral of People's Artist Diep Tuyet Anh was held at her home on Ngo Quyen Street, Ward 6, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City. The burial ceremony was held at 1 p.m. on January 26, followed by cremation at Binh Hung Hoa Center.
