The project “Drifting with the Water - from the Loire to the Mekong” is based on the common inspiration of honoring contemporary female musicians and creating an artistic symbol like a bridge connecting the two legendary rivers Loire and Mekong.

Artist Dana Ciocarlie has created a solo program that weaves a dialogue between musical periods and inspirations. From composers associated with the Touraine region or inspired by the Loire, such as Henri Dutilleux and Francis Poulenc, to two contemporary composers, Ton That Tiet (Vietnam) and Édith Canat de Chizy (France), whose works L'Océan (The Ocean) and Sailing (Sailing) engage in a dialogue around the theme of water. Classical pieces by French composers such as Ravel, Debussy and Fauré, along with compositions by Élise Bertrand and Philippe Hersant, respectively, evoke the flow of water and oriental inspiration through Les Préludes (Preludes) and Les Éphémères (The Ephemeral Moments).

The project is a tribute to the France-Vietnam friendship, and at the same time a lyrical poem about the power of water – the source of life, emotion and endless inspiration.

Opening the tour, artist Dana Ciocarlie will perform with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra in the Pre-booked Concert No. 176 on the evening of November 29, at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam, O Cho Dua Ward, Hanoi ).

Then, from December 1 to 7, the artist will give an in-depth sharing at the Hue Academy of Music (December 1); a solo performance at the Hue Academy of Music (December 2); a solo performance at Novotel Da Nang (December 3); an in-depth sharing at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music (December 5); a solo performance at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House (December 6); a solo performance at Pho Ben Doi, Lam Dong (December 7).

Her recordings, in particular, the recording of Robert Schumann's Complete Works for Piano (La Dolce Volta) – a finalist in the Victoires de la Musique Classical Music Awards and winner of the 2018 Choc de l'année (Shock of the Year) Award by Classica Magazine.
