Artist Ngoc Lan at age 55: My daughter is my support

One of the people who influenced Ngoc Lan's career is her mother. Although her birth mother is no longer with her, she still tries to preserve a scarf as a souvenir, which has been around for 45 years now. "That scarf was bought by my mother, cut and sewed by her own hands, and worn on my head. People say I look a lot like my mother. My mother passed away when I was 17, and it has been 39 years now. Ngoc Lan said she lost her father when she was young, it was her mother who was by her side, encouraging her on her journey to adulthood. Therefore, when she passed away, the actress of the movie Lat mat 7 could not help but feel disappointed and regretful. “My mother’s scarf was also my performance costume when I played the roles of old women. In the past, in my time, many families did not allow their children to pursue art. My mother did not forbid it, she even said that if I tried to finish grade 12, she would let me go to Stage Art School II. For me to pursue my current job, my mother was the biggest motivation,” the 7X actress confided.

Currently, Ngoc Lan's joy is being by her daughter's side, accompanying her. She revealed that her daughter once gave her an expensive lipstick as a gift on her birthday 5 years ago. Talking about her child, the 55-year-old artist shared: "I only have one daughter. She is always by my side to encourage, share, and even be my support. Many times when I am too sad, I choose to tell her, cry in front of her and be comforted and shared with by her. I am lucky to have such a daughter."

For example, out of 10 friends who left, 8 of them love me now, and the other 2 might have quit the profession. That’s fine, as long as they understand.”

Ngoc Lan said that since she started her career until now, she has not been jealous or envious of anyone. Because the female artist believes that each actor has his or her own advantages. “Like now, when I go out on the street, even though I wear a mask, when I sing, people immediately recognize Ngoc Lan. I tell young people that each of you has your own way of acting, thanks to that you can create a movie, a play. But now everyone wants to play the main role, so who plays the supporting role in that play?” Ngoc Lan stated her opinion.
