According to Dak Lak Newspaper, the meeting was held in Tuy Hoa ward to evaluate and approve the results of the implementation of two science and technology projects managed by the central government and carried out locally.
The two projects approved this time include: “Application of scientific and technological advancements in liquid culture propagation for cultivating Cordyceps sinensis to create high-quality products for processing functional foods in Phu Yen province”, implemented by Thien Hoang Minh Khoi Herbal Mushroom Company Limited, Tuy Hoa ward, with a total budget of 9 billion VND; and “Application of scientific and technological advancements to build a model for producing and raising yellowfin snapper in Phu Yen”, implemented by Tom Vang Aquatic Products Joint Stock Company, Tuy Hoa ward, with a total budget of 10 billion VND.
For the project "Applying scientific and technological advancements in liquid culture propagation for cultivating Cordyceps sinensis to create high-quality products for functional food processing in Phu Yen province," from 2023 to the present, the implementing unit has received 4 technological processes from the Center for Mushroom Research and Development - Institute of Agricultural Genetics .
The processes include: the technological process for isolating the original Cordyceps sinensis strain; the technological process for propagating the first-generation Cordyceps sinensis in liquid form; the technological process for propagating the commercially viable Cordyceps sinensis in liquid form; and the technological process for cultivating Cordyceps sinensis.

After a period of research and application, the unit has successfully produced dried and fresh cordyceps products for the market. With a production cycle of 3-5 batches per year, the annual output reaches 3.5 tons of fresh cordyceps mushrooms.
For the project "Applying advanced science and technology to build a model for breeding and raising yellowfin snapper in Phu Yen," from 2021 to the present, the implementing unit has successfully adopted the breeding and commercial farming process of yellowfin snapper in cages using Norwegian technology. Simultaneously, the project has trained 7 technicians in industrial-scale breeding and commercial farming of yellowfin snapper; and organized training for 100 households to promote the development of offshore marine fish farming, in line with the province's aquaculture development orientation.
Simultaneously, the project has established a closed-loop production model for yellowfin seabream, from fertilized eggs to fry, fingerlings, and juveniles, with a capacity of 1.2 million juveniles per year. In addition, the project has implemented a yellowfin seabream farming model consisting of 6 HDPE cages for raising juveniles from 6-7 cm to 8-10 cm for commercial farming; and 4 HDPE cages using Norwegian technology, employing an automatic feeding system, with an average yield of 30 tons per crop.
The successful completion of these two projects is considered to open up new directions in the development of agricultural and aquatic production, contributing to creating more jobs, increasing people's income, and providing high-quality, safe products to meet domestic consumption needs and aiming for export.
