Tony Quy (real name Ta Quy, from Nghe An province) is a familiar member of the African group who has been associated with Quang Linh Vlogs for many years in Angola.

Besides assisting local people with farming , he also regularly teaches them how to cook Vietnamese dishes, ensuring they are well-fed and have the energy to work, while also contributing to the spread of their homeland's culinary culture.

In a recent video posted on his YouTube channel, which has nearly 300,000 followers, Tony Quy took advantage of the weekend to visit a farm in the village and guide Angolan family members in cooking an authentic Vietnamese meal.

These are popular, everyday dishes loved by many Vietnamese people, such as pickled eggplant, boiled water spinach, and fried fish.

Tony Quy said that the meal was prepared using food sourced from the farm itself.

The pickled eggplant was prepared at home the day before. The fried fish and boiled water spinach were cooked on the spot to ensure they were hot and delicious.

Banxoa – an Angolan member of Quang Linh Vlogs' African team – is in charge of cooking and preparing the meals.

He listened attentively and followed Tony Quy's instructions to master the techniques of preparing and cooking Vietnamese dishes.

"The mackerel is left whole, gutted, washed clean, seasoned with salt, and then fried. This dish is delicious when dipped in ginger fish sauce."

"As for the water spinach, boil it, then remove it from the water and add a little salt and MSG to make a soup," Tony Quy instructed Banxoa.

He also added that these are familiar, everyday dishes in Vietnam, both easy to eat and easy to prepare.

As for the pickled eggplant, there's no need to cook it, just pickle it. He also makes some dipping sauce for fried fish and boiled water spinach, and that's it.

When the meal was served, Tony Quy expressed that the simple meal was full of the warmth of his homeland. He also didn't forget to guide the locals on how to enjoy it.

"You should dip the water spinach and fried fish in this fish sauce; it's delicious. The pickled eggplant has a slightly sour taste, but it's also very tasty with rice and soup," he said.

Loi Con (real name Mativado, 6 years old) – a famous child member of the Quang Linh Vlogs group – also loves eating pickled eggplant. The boy kept asking Tony Quy to put more eggplant on his plate to eat with rice.

The remaining Africans also enthusiastically enjoyed the authentic Vietnamese meal. Throughout the meal, they repeatedly exclaimed, "Chapepa" (amazing).
