Specifically, users will have to pay $119 to replace the battery in Apple's two high-end phone models. Meanwhile, according to MacRumors, the price remains the same for the standard and "Plus" models, as well as for last year's models.

This isn't the first time Apple has raised the price of iPhone battery repair services. In 2022, the Cupertino-based company increased the price by $30, to $99, for the iPhone 14 series. Following that, prices for iPad, MacBook, older iPhones, and Apple Watch battery repairs also began to rise.
According to the policy, faulty batteries are covered under warranty for one year, and Apple will replace the battery free of charge under the AppleCare Plus plan if the battery capacity drops below 80% of its original capacity.
Apple states that iPhone batteries are typically designed to retain 80% of their original capacity after 500 charge cycles under ideal conditions. Since the iPhone 15 series and later, this number has doubled to 1,000 cycles.
In addition to being larger, the batteries in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are said to have a new metal casing that helps dissipate heat better. This could be a factor in increasing repair costs.
The cost of replacing the battery for older iPhone models out of Apple warranty varies depending on the device model. For example, the iPhone 15 and 14 series cost $99, while most older models cost $89 – except for the iPhone SE and iPhone 8, which are priced at $69.
