Joy from houses of love
Along with paying and fully implementing the regimes and policies of the Party and State, the use and mobilization of resources to support the renovation and repair of houses for policy families and people with revolutionary contributions have always been of interest and implementation by all levels and sectors in the province, considering this a meaningful work to show gratitude to those who have sacrificed their blood and bones to protect the Fatherland.
The spacious house of the family of war invalid Nguyen Thanh Hai in Binh Dan village, Minh Thanh commune was built with support from the State and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association . |
His wife passed away a few years ago, and Au Quang Trung, a Cao Lan ethnic group, a 4/4 disabled veteran in group 25, My Lam ward, continued to work alone to try to raise his 4 children. Although he developed many jobs from growing tea, working for hire..., the income of family members was still unstable. Mr. Trung always dreamed of having a new, sturdy house to work with peace of mind. The dream came true when in 2021, his family received 40 million VND in support from the State to build a new house. Although the amount of State support was not large, it was the motivation for his family to be determined to build a new house. Mr. Trung shared: “Returning to his hometown after the war, many soldiers like me still had disabilities. Despite trying, life was still very difficult, so the timely support from the State and local authorities helped policy families rise up to have a better life.”
Previously, the house of Mr. Nong Van Củi's family, a 4/4 disabled veteran in Diu Thuong village, Xin Man commune, was degraded and could not ensure living conditions. After reviewing, the local government proposed that the province support the family to build a house. In 2025, his family received 60 million VND from the State to build a house. In addition, he borrowed money from brothers, relatives, and neighbors to help. Thanks to that, his family was able to build a new house, and the whole family was very happy. Mr. Củi said: "Since having a new house, it has created motivation for the family to strive to promote economic development, life has become more and more stable and complete."
