England will be aiming for revenge when they travel to the Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis in Athens to face Greece in their penultimate UEFA Nations League Group B2 match on Thursday evening.
The Three Lions surprisingly lost 2-1 to the Blue and Whites at Wembley last month, with two goals from Vangelis Pavlidis, including a 94th-minute winner, giving Greece the win.
Latest Greece vs England team information
Greek midfielder Dimitrios Kourbelis will serve a one-match suspension for accumulating yellow cards, so one of Petros Mantalos, Christos Zafeiris or Sotiris Alexandropoulos could replace him and play alongside Cardiff City's Manolis Siopis.
Odysseas Vlachodimos, despite limited playing time for Newcastle United this season, is still considered the team's number one goalkeeper and is expected to start against England on Thursday. Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas and West Ham United's Konstantinos Mavropanos are also expected to start in defence.

After scoring twice in the first leg against England, Vangelis Pavlidis could continue to lead the line, although Fotis Ioannidis – who scored three goals in Greece’s first two Nations League games – will return to the squad after recovering from injury. Greece have never lost a game when Ioannidis has scored (W3 D1).
For England, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill and Aaron Ramsdale are all absent from Carsley's squad, while John Stones, Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Eberechi Eze are also absent through injury.
Morgan Rogers, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Lewis Hall were all called up to the squad for the first time, while Jarrod Bowen, Jarrad Branthwaite, Valentino Livramento and James Trafford were also called up alongside Rogers on Monday night.
Kyle Walker remains in the squad despite being a fitness question mark, and it remains to be seen whether he will start at right-back, replacing Livramento, Ezri Konsa or City team-mate Rico Lewis, who could also be deployed at left-back alongside Hall.
Rice's absence could open the door for Lille's Angel Gomes to partner Atletico Madrid's Conor Gallagher in midfield, while Noni Madueke, Jude Bellingham and Anthony Gordon could link up with centre-forward and captain Harry Kane in attack.

Latest football commentary Greece vs England
England’s clash with Greece on Thursday will mark the first game since the appointment of new head coach Thomas Tuchel, who is the Three Lions’ third foreign manager, having been announced as Gareth Southgate’s successor on 16 October and has signed an 18-month contract.
However, the German, who previously managed Bayern Munich and Chelsea, will officially take over in January next year, so Lee Carsley will remain in charge for England's remaining two Nations League games this month, against Greece and the Republic of Ireland.

Carsley's experimentation in the disappointing defeat to Greece last month did not produce the expected results, but England bounced back with a 3-1 win over Finland in Helsinki, keeping their hopes of promotion to League A alive and setting a new international record.
England, who are fourth in the FIFA rankings, are currently second in their Nations League group, three points behind Greece. A win by at least two goals on Thursday would see them top the group on goal difference with just one game remaining.
England have won their last two away games in the Nations League by two goals (vs Finland and Ireland), and they have won all four of their visits to Greece by an aggregate score of 9-1. Only Luxembourg (5/5) are the countries where the Three Lions have a perfect 100% away win record.
Since coach Ivan Jovanovic was appointed in August, Greece have won all four of their Nations League games in their first League B campaign, scoring nine goals and conceding just one, and are on the verge of securing promotion to League A for the first time in their history.
After claiming maximum points with wins over Finland and Ireland, Greece recorded their first ever victory over England on an emotional night at Wembley, following the sudden death of international George Baldock at the age of 31.
Greece returned to home soil just three days later and successfully maintained their unbeaten record in League B with a 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland thanks to second-half goals from Anastasios Bakasetas and Petros Mantalos.
Greece are currently 42nd in the FIFA rankings, up 12 places since July, and they know that a win over England on Thursday will secure top spot in their group with a game in hand, while a draw would also be enough to keep them top on head-to-head record.
Jovanovic's men will be confident of further success on home soil, where they have won eight and drawn two of their 11 Nations League games, keeping a clean sheet in nine of those games. The pressure will be on Carsley to lead England to a crucial victory, and the task will be to take the initiative against a Greece side who have impressed on home soil and proved difficult to break down in front of their fans.
Although England will be missing some of the key players Carsley would have wanted in the squad, he still has plenty of talent at his disposal, and if he opts for a less experimental line-up with Harry Kane leading the line, the Three Lions could well emerge victorious in Athens.
