On November 19, in Hanoi, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Academy of Finance. On this occasion, the Academy of Finance received the First Class Labor Medal (for the third time).

According to the National Assembly Office, speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue expressed his joy, emotion and pride in attending the ceremony, meeting again the teachers who wholeheartedly guided and taught him during his years as a student of the Faculty of Accounting and his colleagues who have been with him for more than 20 years as lecturers and leaders of the Academy.

The National Assembly Chairman pointed out that in the context of increasingly deep international integration, the 4th industrial revolution is taking place very quickly, highly qualified and high-quality human resources and the level of scientific and technological development will determine the position, strength and competitiveness of each country.

"The quality of university and postgraduate training plays a decisive role in the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources; it is the key to promoting labor productivity growth and maintaining rapid and sustainable economic growth," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

The National Assembly Chairman also pointed out that the Academy needs to concretize the educational philosophy of "Global Citizens in a Changing World" associated with the core values of "quality, prestige, efficiency, professionalism and modernity".

The National Assembly Chairman hopes that the Academy of Finance must be one of the pioneering units to effectively implement university autonomy, especially financial autonomy; promote internal resources, and make the most of investment resources for school development.

Early formation of a network of alumni and former teachers of the school to create a combined strength, considering them as a member of the school's ecosystem.

The National Assembly Chairman noted that the Academy of Finance continues to promote its tradition and has innovative and feasible policies to build the Academy into one of the country's major centers for "attracting talent, nurturing human minds, perfecting personality, and developing human resources".

At the same time, there is a policy to attract, discover, nurture and train excellent students, forming strong research groups with qualifications on par with the region and the world.

Continue to promote international exchange and cooperation activities, enhance cooperation and exchange on training and research. Increase the participation of businesses and organizations in developing training content and programs. Periodically organize surveys on the job market, analyze and receive feedback from employers.

As the governing body, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Ministry of Finance to pay attention to directing and creating the most favorable conditions for the Academy of Finance to expand its location, invest in facilities and equipment to meet its tasks, and soon transform and develop according to the Smart Academy model.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the glorious and proud tradition of the Academy of Finance over the past 60 years is the result of the tireless learning, working and dedication of generations of lecturers and students of the school.

Many outstanding students have grown up and held important positions in the leadership apparatus of the Party and State from the central to local levels; many have been and are core cadres of departments, ministries, branches, agencies, units and enterprises.

This is the tradition and great pride of the Academy of Finance. Teachers and students of the Academy of Finance today have the mission to continue that glorious tradition.

"Over the past 60 years, with 5 name changes and moving to many locations, the tradition of the Academy of Finance remains the same, with the same spirit, the same qualities and the same character of generations of teachers and students of the school.
