On the morning of November 17, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuc Truong, Political Commissar of Ga Ry Border Guard Station, said that the unit had just organized a ceremony to receive "Border Guard Station's adopted children" for two children, Zoram Hai Duong (born in 2018, grade 2, Ga Ry Primary School) and Zoram Viet Hoang (born in 2024).

Both children are the biological children of Mr. Zơrâm Nhô (born in 1997) and Ms. Bríu Thị Tép (born in 1998), two victims who went missing in the serious landslide that occurred at Azắt stream (Put village, Hung Son commune) a few days ago.

At the program, Ga Ry Border Guard Station initially supported 3 million VND and 2 gifts worth 1 million VND; at the same time committed to supporting 500 thousand VND/child monthly and school supplies until the children complete the 12th grade program.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuc Truong, Political Commissar of Ga Ry Border Guard Station, shared: “The children’s loss is too great and nothing can compensate. With the responsibility of Border Guard soldiers, we will accompany, care for, and create the best conditions for the children to study and grow up. Ga Ry Border Guard Station will be the support for the children to firmly step on the road ahead.”

Previously, immediately after receiving information about 3 missing people in Put village, in recent days, in addition to supporting search and rescue work and evacuating people from dangerous areas, officers and soldiers of Ga Ry Border Guard Station visited, encouraged and gave 3 gifts (1 million VND/gift) to encourage the family to overcome initial difficulties.
