In a recently published information, VinEnergo Energy Joint Stock Company said that a shareholder is a foreign investor contributing nearly VND1,417 billion, equivalent to 5% of the capital. This shareholder is Dynamic Invest Group Limited, located in Hong Kong (China).
Previously, in March, VinEnergo was established to take charge of the renewable energy sector in the Vingroup ecosystem.
VinEnergo is determined to be a joint venture partner with Vingroup to invest in the Hai Phong LNG Thermal Power Plant project. The project is expected to be implemented in the 2025-2030 period if it is added to the adjusted Power Plan 8.
According to the newly established business registration, VinEnergo has a charter capital of 2,000 billion VND. Of which, Vingroup contributes 19%. Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong contributes 71%. On April 11, billionaire Vuong also announced that he would use more than 35 million VIC shares he is holding to contribute capital to establish VinEnergo. Mr. Vuong's two sons, Pham Nhat Quan Anh and Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, each contribute 5%.

In June, the company increased its capital to 10,000 billion VND, of which 2,900 billion VND was contributed in cash and 7,100 billion VND was contributed in other assets.
By October 22, VinEnergo continued to increase its capital to VND28,335 billion. Of which, nearly VND12,134 billion (equivalent to 44.59% of capital) was contributed in cash. Other assets accounted for 55.41%, equivalent to more than VND15,701 billion.
Recently, VinEnergo adjusted its business registration content, adding the business line of electricity transmission and distribution, specifically electricity wholesale and electricity retail.
This enterprise once proposed allowing electricity retailers in residential and urban areas to directly participate in the competitive electricity market.
