Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - North Ho Chi Minh City Branch ( Agribank North Ho Chi Minh City Branch) has just announced the auction of debt of customer Vuong Diem 97 Company Limited, a fertilizer manufacturing enterprise headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City.

The debt of Vuong Diem 97 Company Limited arose from Credit Contract No. 6421-LAV-201900254 dated July 22, 2019 and the accompanying amended and supplemented contracts between Agribank North Ho Chi Minh City Branch and the company.

The book value of the provisional debt as of August 31, 2024 (principal, interest on time, overdue interest, fees...) is more than VND 162.37 billion.

Of which, principal balance is 120 billion VND, interest debt is 42.37 billion VND.

Interest will continue to accrue from September 1, 2024 until the enterprise has fully paid its obligations to Agribank.

The starting price of the debt is 120.78 billion VND. Bidders must deposit 10% of the starting price of the debt.

The current starting price has decreased by VND10 billion compared to the starting price of the debt that the bank put up for sale in September 2024. Since then, the bank has put up for sale many times but failed.

The assets securing the debt are 21 real estates in Xuan Hoa ward, Phu Tho province (formerly Ngoc Thanh commune, Phuc Yen city, Vinh Phuc province). These are all rural residential land, granted to individuals for private use. The total area of ​​these plots is up to nearly 6,300m2, each plot's area ranges from 250-450m2.

Not only Agribank, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ) also announced the auction of a combined debt worth 173 billion VND of a group of customers, namely Ha Long Port Business JSC (96,086 billion VND) and Southeast Asia Logistics JSC (76,867 billion VND).

The starting price for the debt of the two above enterprises is 121 billion VND. Previously, BIDV had put it up for sale many times but could not find any interested investors.

According to BIDV, the assets securing the loan of Ha Long Port Business JSC include 4 land use rights in Ha Long (Quang Ninh) with a total area of ​​more than 55,000 square meters, owned by this enterprise and several other individuals.

Meanwhile, the assets securing the loan of Southeast Asia Logistic JSC include 4 land use rights in Ha Long (Quang Ninh) with a total area of ​​290 square meters; the company's mineral exploitation rights in Thong Nhat commune (Quang Ninh) and all shares owned by this enterprise.
