In a video that went viral on social media, a man believed to be a manager at a company in Shenzhen, China, was seen holding a large board that read “365 days of paid leave.” This was an award that the employee had won at the company’s annual party.

Chen, an administrative employee at the company, said in the video that the winner repeatedly asked if the prize was real. Chen said even the boss was "stunned" that the employee won the prize.

According to Chinese media, the company's annual party has been canceled for three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, a lucky draw was held to help the company's employees relieve stress at work.

Chen added that the company would discuss with the winner if he or she wanted cash or paid leave. Local media reported that the employee frequently traveled for work.

This is not the first time a Chinese company has awarded employees a year of paid leave through a lucky draw.

Last January, a sales employee at another company, also in Shenzhen, won a similar jackpot of 365 days of paid vacation. The employee eventually cashed out part of his prize and donated some to local charities.
