This signing ceremony marks an important initial step to establish an effective coordination mechanism between state management agencies and platform enterprises, supporting the implementation of digital skills training activities, developing e-commerce infrastructure, and promoting the promotion and consumption of local products on digital platforms.

Lai Chau province has great potential for e-commerce development, especially with its diverse ecosystem and rich products. However, the locality still faces barriers such as uneven IT and logistics infrastructure; the rate of enterprises participating in e-commerce is still low due to lack of knowledge, digital skills and difficulties in applying digital marketing.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development, Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) - eComDX, said that Lai Chau and many other provinces are facing similar difficulties in grasping new policies and online sales skills. To overcome this, eComDX focuses on training through online courses. In the coming time, eComDX will deploy an in-depth training program, focusing on four pillars: Go Online, Go Export, Go AI and Go Right, helping businesses develop steadily.

According to the representative of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), to build a sustainable regional e-commerce ecosystem, it is necessary to implement 4 groups of strategic solutions. Including: Completing the policy mechanism to support e-commerce in mountainous areas; applying digital technology to serve product development, traceability, and brand protection; developing logistics infrastructure and digital distribution, especially in remote areas; improving on-site digital capacity through training and technical support.

Ms. Le Hoang Oanh, Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, affirmed that digital transformation is an inevitable requirement, and e-commerce is one of the key pillars, especially in the Northern Midlands and Mountains. Digital business capacity is the foundation for realizing the model of "each specialty product is a digital brand", making e-commerce a tool to create livelihoods, increase value and spread highland culture.
