Stage 2 of the VGA Junior Tour - The 6th Ho Chi Minh City Open Junior Golf Championship opened with emotion with a Hole In One from U9 player Do Duc Khai. Other groups also surprised with exciting competitions from young players.
On the first day of competition, athlete Le Nhat Binh led the U9 group with -1 point. This was also the only negative score on June 3. The 9-year-old athlete excelled with 5 birdies and only 2 bogeys and 1 double bogey.
VGA Junior Tour had many surprises on the first day.
In the U18 Women's group, Le Nguyen Minh Anh (Anna Le) started her competition with an eagle at hole 13. However, Anna Le had a difficult day when she recorded a total of 7 bogeys and 5 double bogeys in both rounds. 3 birdies still helped the 14-year-old athlete top the group at the end of the day.
Meanwhile, the U18 Men's Group recorded continuous changes at the top of the table. Athlete Nguyen Duc Son brought home 5 strokes in round 1 and had a comeback with -3 points in the afternoon. With a total of 7 birdies, 6 bogeys and 1 double bogey, Duc Son is temporarily in first place in the U18 Men's Group.
Topping the U15 group is 14-year-old athlete Nguyen Tuan Anh. Tuan Anh scored 2 birdies and made 2 bogeys and 1 double bogey in round 1. In round 2, Tuan Anh won 3 birdies but unfortunately made 1 bogey and 2 double bogeys. With a total of 5 strokes, Nguyen Tuan Anh is currently holding the first position in the U15 Men's group.
Ranking at the top of the U12 Men's and U12 Women's groups are athletes Nguyen Bao Phat with (+5) and Ha Na Vuong with (+15) points respectively.
