Many activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong victory

The ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on April 3 at the Thanh Hoa City Convention Center on a provincial scale and will be broadcast live on Thanh Hoa Radio and Television.

Before and after the ceremony, there will be a series of activities including: Flower offering ceremony, incense offering ceremony, and requiem ceremony for heroic martyrs; Inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Park for teachers and students who sacrificed their lives at the Ma River dike and other works to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong victory.

On this occasion, many other meaningful programs were also organized such as Meeting to pay tribute to families of heroic martyrs; Meeting with heroes of the armed forces, veterans, former militia and forces directly involved in fighting and serving in the fight to protect Ham Rong bridge; Organizing for people and tourists to visit historical revolutionary relics at Ham Rong historical and cultural relic site.

In addition, there are a series of cultural, artistic and sports activities such as the Thanh Hoa Province Mass Arts Festival to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong victory and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; Half Marathon with the theme "Ham Rong - Historical Mark, Future Footsteps"...

Ham Rong victory in 1965 became a heroic symbol of the people's war against the destructive war of American imperialism with the skillful organization and military leadership of our Party.

Through two destructive wars of the US imperialists, the army and people of Ham Rong alone shot down 117 planes, protected the bridge, ensured smooth traffic, boosted production, and contributed worthily with the army and people of the whole country, bringing the resistance war against the US to save the country to complete victory.
