In the period of 2018 - 2024, 13 localities in the Southwest region have built 265 models, replicating 67 models of the whole people protecting national security at 457 locations. Currently, the whole country has over 4,700 models and 945 typical examples, of which the Southwest region alone has 891 models and 260 typical examples. The Ministry of Public Security assessed that the models in the movement of the whole people protecting national security in the Southwest region are rich in many fields, the scope of activities, the level of influence and spread are also very diverse.

The activities of models and advanced examples in the movement of the entire people to protect the national security of ethnic minorities in the Southwest region have also been effectively implemented. Through this, ethnic minorities have provided the police force with more than 181,000 sources of information, helping to resolve nearly 34,300 cases. At the same time, they have coordinated to participate in mobilizing the surrender and arrest of 1,638 wanted subjects and those who have escaped execution of sentences; participated ineducating and helping nearly 23,000 people who have made mistakes in the community; participated in reconciling 122,443 cases of conflicts and disputes among the people; mobilized the handover of 18,565 units of weapons, explosives, and support tools of all kinds...
In the period of 2018 - 2024, there are many bright spots in the direction of self-management, self-defense, and self-protection of ethnic minority areas. Typical models include: "Encouraging each other to do well in Cham hamlets" of An Giang province; "Self-management group among Chinese people" of Bac Lieu province; "Mobilizing Chinese people in ensuring security and order in the locality" of Ben Tre province; "Ensuring security and order in Khmer ethnic minority areas" of Can Tho city; "Tam Hiep Pagoda Management Board for self-defense and self-management of security and order" of Ca Mau province; "Reformed people's club" of Dong Thap province; "Reconciliation group in Khmer ethnic minority areas" of Hau Giang province; "Fishermen's group unites to maintain security and order at sea" of Kien Giang province; "Dignitaries, officials, monks, nuns, and Buddhists of Can Duoc district participate in maintaining security and order" of Long An province; "3 positive clubs in the Khmer ethnic minority area" of Soc Trang province; "Crime prevention and control fence" of Tien Giang province; "3 good, 3 reduction" of Tra Vinh province; "Promoting the role of Khmer ethnic minority in Tam My commune to participate in maintaining security and order" of Vinh Long province...

At the conference, representatives of advanced models and examples in the Southwest region exchanged and shared experiences, enthusiasm for implementation, and made recommendations and proposals for a number of measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of the mass movement to protect national security in the coming time.

At the conference, the Ministry of Public Security awarded certificates of merit to 27 groups and 41 typical advanced individuals from 13 localities in the Southwest region.
Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung suggested that localities in the Southwest region need to clearly identify the work of building and replicating models and typical examples of the movement of the entire people to protect national security, which must be closely linked to the implementation of the main tasks of Party committees at all levels, agencies, departments, branches and organizations. Regularly integrate this work with patriotic emulation movements, socio-economic development programs in each unit and locality, and associated with the characteristics of ethnic minority areas in the Southwest region. Timely encourage, reward and replicate good models and creative ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of the movement of the entire people to protect national security.
