Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , HVT, a number of students from the Central University of Arts Education, said they have not yet received any money related to the A80 program, as of this morning, December 16th.
According to T., when the A80 gratuity issue at Hanoi Tourism College caused a stir online, the school organized a meeting with students to provide information. The meeting included officials from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the school's management board.
The school stated that the government provided the following allowances to students participating in the formation exercise from five universities: 60,000 VND per practice session, 120,000 VND per rehearsal, and 200,000 VND per performance. The total amount was 2,020,000 VND. After deducting 461,900 VND for meals, the students received 1,558,900 VND.
The school also explained to students that the delay in payment was due to the large number of students participating (approximately 2,000), which resulted in a lengthy process of collecting personal information.
"We also have to sign another document confirming our agreement to have our meal money deducted. If we don't sign, we won't receive the money," T. said.
T. also stated that students at the school only learned about the A80 stipend after the incident caused a stir on social media. Before that, the school and their homeroom teachers had not mentioned it.

The text message explaining the reason for the deduction from the meal allowance was shared by a student (Screenshot).
Students also shared messages from a Zalo group, where one account stated that meal expenses should not have been deducted because the school had secured a separate budget. However, because a student from the Fine Arts Education department raised the issue on the public service portal, the school proceeded with "spending like other schools," meaning they deducted nearly 500,000 VND for meals.
However, the school has not yet set a date for paying the A80 allowance to the students.
Also in a similar situation of not having received the money is NTTH, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This female student participates in a volunteer team managed by the Hanoi Youth Union.
According to H., the female student only learned about the A80 allowance for volunteers after the uproar at Hanoi Tourism College. In early December, H. and other volunteers had their personal information collected by the City Youth Union for the purpose of payment. However, two weeks have passed, and H. still has no new information about this money.
The reporter contacted the relevant departments to clarify the information reflected by the students but has not yet received a response.
