In round 7 of the SV League on November 1, Thanh Thuy continued her explosive form when she scored 12 points to help Gunma Green Wings quickly defeat Kurobe Volleyball Club with a score of 3-0.

It should be noted that Kurobe was one of the top teams in the table with a perfect record of winning all of their first 6 matches.

This victory gives Gunma Green Wings 4 wins and continues to fly high in the rankings. They are currently ranked 7th in terms of index, but are only 3 teams behind in the SV League in terms of number of wins.

From being one of the weakest teams in the league, Gunma Green Wings is now ready to join the championship race.

Indeed, last season, which was also their first time playing in the top division, Gunma Green Wings finished last out of 14 participating teams.

This was also the season that Japanese volleyball innovated the league system and launched the first SV League version for the top division. Thanks to that, Gunma Green Wings won promotion.

In 44 games this season, Gunma Green Wings won only 5 games and lost 39 games, achieving a winning percentage of only 11%. Only one team in the league, Aranme, played as badly, but still ranked above Gunma Green Wings thanks to the extra index.

Then everything changed dramatically after Gunma Green Wings brought in two foreign players, Thanh Thuy and Rozanski, this season.

Together, Thanh Thuy and her Polish teammates shined brightly, helping Japan's "green wings" fly high.

After 7 rounds, Rozanski scored 144 points, while Thanh Thuy also scored 111 points. Both are in the top 10 athletes with the most points in the tournament up to now.

And from the bottom of the table, Gunma Green Wings can now compete in the top of the tournament.

This is truly an extremely impressive milestone in Thanh Thuy’s career. She previously played for two Japanese clubs, Airybees and PFU Blue Cats. But in those times, Thanh Thuy’s team was usually in the middle or bottom half of the rankings.
