On April 12, Tam Binh Ward Police were still coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Police Department in Thu Duc City to investigate the case of a group of female students beating up a female student at NTNN Secondary School (Tam Phu Ward), causing head injuries.
Authorities have identified and brought about 10 students (both male and female) involved in the brutal assault of a female student in Thu Duc City (HCMC) to the ward police station for questioning.
Initial reports indicate that about 10 students (aged 13 and under) from Thai Van Lung Secondary School, including both male and female, were involved in the assault that left a female student with head, eye, and mouth injuries...
Authorities took statements from these students, with representatives from their parents.
According to the students’ testimony, the assault stemmed from a conflict over badmouthing each other while playing together. On April 11, the students invited the female student to an empty lot and then beat the victim up to intimidate her. After the beating, the victim’s face and clothes were covered in blood.
The incident was recorded by one of the group using a phone and posted on social media.
Regarding the handling, the authorities determined that the group of students were still young (13 years old and under), so they have not considered administrative handling or criminal prosecution. In the immediate future, the relevant units will coordinate with the school and parents to come up with appropriate handling andeducation directions.
Previously, on April 11, a group of male and female students from a middle school in Tam Phu ward (Thu Duc city) took a female student to an empty lot in Tam Binh ward.
Here, about 3 female students continuously used their hands, feet, and helmets to beat and brutally kick the female student in the head. The group of 3 female students also cursed and joked many times while beating her. Many other male and female students around cheered and did not intervene.
The incident was filmed by a member of the group and posted on social media. After being beaten, the female student suffered severe head trauma, swollen eyes, bleeding from the mouth... The female student is currently psychologically affected and scared.
That same night, the authorities verified and brought about 10 male and female students who had directly beaten and were present at the scene to the police station to take statements and prepare a case file. The parents of these students were also invited to come in for questioning.
