Of which, the North is estimated at about 382.9 million kWh, the Central region is about 77.6 million kWh (increased), and the South is about 348.4 million kWh.

The national power system peak capacity (Pmax) reached 39,504.2 MW at 14:30. In which, in the North/Central/South, the (Pmax/time) were: 17,312.9 MW (at 15:30), 4,071 MW (at 14:30), 18,240.2 MW (14:30).

Regarding power mobilization, on June 19, 2023, the total output mobilized from hydropower increased sharply; reaching about 170.5 million kWh (of which hydropower in the North mobilized 59.9 million kWh); coal-fired thermal power mobilized 430.9 million kWh (Northern 269.2 million kWh); gas turbines mobilized 92.5 million kWh. No need to mobilize oil power sources. Renewable energy sources of all kinds reached 108.8 million kWh.

Regarding the transitional renewable energy projects, as of June 19, there were 55 projects with a total capacity of 3,052 MW submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Trade; of which 51 projects have signed additional temporary power purchase contracts. There are 10 plants (the whole plant or part of the plant) with a total capacity of 455 MW that have been put into commercial operation, 4 plants are undergoing testing, and 12 plants are completing testing and waiting for commercial operation.

EVN representative said that the coal fuel source for electricity production is guaranteed. However, the generators' problems are still happening. Specifically, the long-term problems are about 2,100 MW, the short-term problems are 880 MW. Currently, the factories are trying to handle the problems, it is expected that by June 21, Nghi Son 1 generator S1 and the problem part of Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant unit 1 will be connected to the grid again; by June 23, Thang Long Thermal Power Plant unit S1 will be fixed.

According to the report, large hydroelectric reservoirs in the North are above the dead water level but are still facing difficulties. The total capacity of the plants (Son La, Lai Chau , Ban Chat, Huoi Quang, Tuyen Quang, Thac Ba, Hua Na, Ban Ve,...) is nearly 5,000 MW. Currently, the reservoirs are still accumulating more water.

Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam Electricity Group are continuing to direct relevant units to increase power sources and flexibly operate reservoirs in the context of difficulties in hydropower reservoirs; urging thermal power plants to prioritize handling incidents of generators; ensuring coal and gas supply for power generation; actively supplementing renewable energy sources for the system; enhancing safe operation of the Central - Northern transmission system; and at the same time, promoting propaganda work to implement the Prime Minister 's Directive on electricity saving...
