Village cadres are good at mass mobilization

To successfully build a model village in 2024, Mr. Doan and the Party cell have developed a plan and roadmap to carry out specific tasks and discussed and collected opinions from Party members and the people. Implementing Resolution No. 12 dated July 22, 2022 of the District Party Committee on strengthening the leadership of Party committees in mobilizing people to donate land to expand rural roads in the district, Hamlet 4 has mobilized people to donate land, expand roads, and build 1.4km of model roads... There are many tasks, requiring high consensus within the Party and among the people to be successful, so Mr. Doan is worried, thinking day and night about methods and ways to do it appropriately and effectively.

Mr. Doan said: "All contributions from the village, land donation for road construction, my family paid in advance and called on party member households to do the same, the people saw that and followed. In particular, the contributions from the people to carry out social work, we all recorded them fully. After each project, there are copies of the people's revenues and expenditures and sent to each household for monitoring and supervision."

With this approach, the people in the village have great trust and support for all local policies. Therefore, village 4 has done many important and important things. That is, building a spacious village cultural house with a large campus, equipped with sports equipment for people to practice; The people in the village donated more than 500m2 and demolished many auxiliary works and fences to expand the traffic roads in the spirit of implementing Resolution No. 12 of the District Party Executive Committee; many roads planted shade trees, installed solar power... creating a green, clean, beautiful and safe environment, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and trade goods; the village has built a 1.4km model road and participated in the district-level model road competition and won an encouragement prize. In 2024, the village achieved the model village title.

In the period of 2020-2025, Hang Cau village, Van Xuan commune (Thuong Xuan) strives to build a model village. Therefore, the village has a lot of work to do. The village has an area of ​​1,460 hectares with 174 households, many households still have difficult lives... To achieve the set goals, Mr. Le Quoc Toan, Secretary and Head of Hang Cau village, together with the Party cell and heads of mass organizations, made every effort. He and the Party cell innovated the content of Party cell activities; developed the content before bringing it to the meeting to get the opinions of Party members and people to reach high consensus before implementing. One of the key tasks is to change the crop structure and build rural roads.

The task seems small and simple but is actually difficult and arduous, because the population is sparse and the area is large, mobilizing resources from the people is very difficult, but the resolution has been issued, no matter how difficult it is, it must be implemented, and we must think of ways to do it. Mr. Toan often sticks to the grassroots, sometimes he goes to the house to confide, sometimes he chats on the acacia hill or whispers over a glass of wine at the villagers' feast to analyze for them to understand the implementation of the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws, and the locality's. At those times, he grasps the situation, if there are any difficulties that need to be proposed to the superiors, he immediately implements them. He enthusiastically "goes to every alley, knocks on every door" to mobilize people to participate. For example, in the conversion of ineffective acacia plantation areas to cinnamon and cat ginseng plantations, Mr. Toan organized a Party cell meeting, a village meeting and presented specific problems regarding planting time and harvest value between the two types of trees for households to compare the same area, same growing time but different income value so that households could consider converting; along with that, he encouraged households to plant first to build a specific model for households to see the real effectiveness and trust to follow.

Another success is that he and the Party Committee, the Village Front Committee mobilized people to contribute more than 4 million VND/household to concretize rural roads, which have now been basically completed. The roads of the Party's will and the people's heart are like a breath of fresh air, bringing a new look to the mountainous countryside, making travel more convenient and opening up economic development directions for local people in difficult mountainous areas.

Talking about his experience in "skillful mass mobilization", Mr. Toan said: Only when we are close to the people, understand and respect their legitimate aspirations, and know how to put collective interests first, will people be willing to cooperate.

With the same viewpoint of being close to the people and understanding them in the process of propaganda and mobilization, Mr. Tran Van Viet, Secretary of the Party Cell of Doan Quyet Thuong Village, Thieu Phuc Commune (Thieu Hoa) has succeeded in building the village to become more and more prosperous. He has mobilized 34 households to donate nearly 1,600m2 to widen the road from 2.5m to more than 5m; and mobilized to restore and preserve the communal house of Doan Quyet Thuong village.

Mr. Viet said: "To mobilize people to participate in local movements, each cadre and party member must match their words with their actions, and be an example for the people to learn and follow. All work in the village must follow the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect and people enjoy"...

Despite differences in age and region, those who do grassroots mass mobilization work all share the same viewpoint, learning from Uncle Ho to do mass mobilization skillfully: "think with the mind, see with the eyes, listen with the ears, walk with the feet, speak with the mouth, and do with the hands" and "do everything that is beneficial to the people, and avoid everything that is harmful to the people"... Thanks to that, people's lives as well as the appearance of the countryside have clearly changed.
