We arrived at Pooi village, Minh Quang commune, Lam Binh district on the day when people were rushing to work in the fields. Lam Binh district is one of the 61 poorest districts in the country. In the fields of Pooi village, the sound of harvesters clattering mixed with the laughter of people urgently packing rice into sacks and loading them onto trucks to take home. On the way, we saw many people in Pooi village bringing their motorbikes to the fields to carry rice home in the joy of a good harvest.

The fields of Pooi village are isolated from the village. In the past, people in Pooi village had to drive across the stream to work in the fields. During the dry season, it was very difficult for households to travel, but during the rainy season, floods turned Pooi village into an oasis. According to the leaders of Minh Quang commune, flash floods often occurred here, making it impossible for people and even students to cross the raging stream.

The Dan Tri bridge in Pooi village is 5m wide, 10m long, and costs 699 million VND, supported by the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Ha (Hanoi). It was built to serve the travel needs of Pooi village residents in particular and Minh Quang commune residents in general.
