To register for the exam, candidates need to prepare phone number, email, and portrait photo.

Candidates are required to have a phone number to register an account. The system will send an OTP code to the phone number to confirm the registration of the exam account, confirm the cancellation of the exam, and confirm the request to reset the password in case the candidate forgets the password. This phone number must be registered to the owner to avoid loss or lock.

Candidates are also required to have a personal email; do not use someone else's email to register an account. Passwords and emails must be kept confidential.

Candidates should note that the portrait photo (electronic version, .jpg or .jpeg format, no more than 5MB in size, 4x6 cm in size, named after the ID card number). The photo must be taken on a light-colored background, eyes looking straight ahead, bare head, no glasses. The photo must be taken within 6 months of the time of registration. The portrait photo will be used for identification in the exam room and printed on the Score Report Form.

The Institute of Digital Training and Testing - Hanoi National University notes that during the exam, candidates must carefully read the exam questions; check the test results, test scores (partial scores and total scores) after submitting the test. If there are any suggestions or questions about the exam questions, test scores, test organization... they must be reported to the invigilator/Examination Council before the exam session ends. Any questions or concerns from candidates after leaving the exam room will not be considered. The Hanoi National University Competency Assessment Exam is a non-revised exam and the answers are not published.

Regarding the time to register for the Competency Assessment exam, candidates create an exam account from November 25 to December 27, 2025 at: https://khaothi.vnu.edu.vn/ or https:/hsa.edu.vn/

Candidates can only choose one exam session in each exam period. The exam registration schedule is expected to be from 9:00 a.m. on December 28 to 4:30 p.m. on February 7, 2026 (in case of any change in exam registration time, the Institute of Digital Training and Testing will notify candidates 10 days in advance on the information pages).

The system will open for candidates to choose the second exam session (if there are still seats available according to the exam scale) from 9:00 a.m. on February 8 to 9:00 a.m. on February 14, 2026.

Candidates should note that the registration period may end earlier when all the exam seats have been filled. The system only allows one account to log in and operate on one computer device at the same time.
