Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended the 50th anniversary of the school's founding.

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of November 16, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ham Rong High School (1975-2025), Thanh Hoa province.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister sent his congratulations to generations of teachers and students of the school. He recalled that in the early stages of the school's establishment, there was a lack of facilities and teaching and learning conditions were difficult.

After 50 years of construction and growth, Ham Rong High School has made strong progress in both scale and quality of education .

The Deputy Prime Minister requested school principals and teachers to continue to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and training to meet the requirements of the country's industrialization and modernization.

He also emphasized that schools need to focus on nurturing talents and training high-quality human resources; at the same time, coordinate with local authorities to create the best learning conditions for students.

The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that all students of the school will strive to practice and study well to contribute to the development of their homeland and country. He expects the school to uphold its 50-year tradition and strive to become one of the leading educational institutions in the country by 2030.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that in recent times, the Party and the State have made many decisions in the field of education and training. Among them, there are contents that aim to focus on comprehensive knowledge training for students and have more appropriate policies for teachers.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long presented gifts to the school and 30 scholarships to students.

Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, also awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training to Ham Rong High School for its many achievements in teaching and learning.

Ham Rong High School was established in 1975. After 50 years, the school has become an educational highlight of Thanh Hoa, ranked among the top non-specialized high schools in the country.

Since 2000, the school has comprehensively innovated its facilities and teaching methods, nearly 60% of teachers have master's degrees.

In the past 5 years, 100% of high school graduates, most of them were admitted to university, many of them were valedictorians and salutatorians of top schools.

In 2021, the school’s students participated in the International Science and Technology Competition in the US. In 2023, Le Xuan Manh won the “Road to Olympia” championship. In 2024, the school continued to have students win national prizes in chemistry.

Ham Rong High School has been in the top 100 schools with the highest university entrance exam scores in the country for many years. The school has been awarded the First Class Labor Medal (2015), Second Class (2009), Third Class (2002) and many other awards from the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province.
