Half a century of cultivating human resources
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Truong Quoc Bao - Deputy Head of Department of Locality 1, Central Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, Nghe An Department of Education and Training and many generations of teachers and students of Thanh Chuong 3 High School.
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Quyen - Principal of the school reviewed the history of establishment and half a century of construction and development of Thanh Chuong 3 School (Cat Ngan, Nghe An ).
Thanh Chuong 3 High School's predecessor was a branch of Thanh Chuong 1 High School, established in August 1972, during the fierce resistance war against America.
Amidst bombs and hardships, the first classrooms were temporarily set up in the old Uon garden in Hoa village, Phong Thinh commune, with 11 classrooms and nearly 500 students. The thatched roofs and simple tables and chairs, but the eyes of teachers and students still shone with faith and determination. The first principal - Mr. Nguyen Tai Ngo - was the one who laid the first brick for the order, discipline and spirit of Thanh Chuong 3: resilience, responsibility and creativity.
After the country's reunification, in September 1975, the People's Committee of Nghe An province officially decided to establish Thanh Chuong 3 High School, marking a historical turning point, opening a half-century journey of construction and development.
Half a century of construction and development has fostered the spirit of Thanh Chuong 3 - resilient in difficulties, creative in challenges, united and loyal in all activities to gradually affirm its position and quality in the education sector of Nghe An.
For many consecutive years, the school's graduation rate has always been 100%, with many students achieving high results being recognized by the People's Committee of Nghe An province. The school's students have participated in many competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and many departments and organizations at all levels and achieved high results such as Phu Dong Sports Festival, National Defense Education Sports Festival, Science and Technology Competition for high school students, "Traffic Safety for Tomorrow's Smiles", "Teachers in My Eyes"...
The quality of the team is increasingly improved: 100% of teachers and staff have standard and above-standard qualifications, nearly 30% of teachers are good teachers and good workers at the provincial level, teachers with master's degrees account for more than 30%. There are many teachers who are core teachers, many teachers have achieved high achievements in training gifted students, reviewing for high school graduation exams, writing scientific research projects, many teachers have received the titles of emulation fighters at the industry and provincial levels.
The school has a model of “Wisdom House” – a place to connect knowledge and spread reading culture – formed from the hearts of teachers, businesses and alumni. “Wisdom House” has truly become an open space – where students can discuss, create, organize talk shows, and interact with domestic and foreign experts.
Experiential and career guidance activities are systematically invested in, attracting the support of businesses and alumni, helping students to early orient their careers, practice skills, and nurture future aspirations.
In particular, the school also focuses on building a landscape, a spacious, green - clean - beautiful campus, with a biological garden, an experience area, a traditional house, a communal dining hall, a sports field, and rows of shade trees.
All of these create a friendly, dynamic and modern learning environment, affirming the new development step of Thanh Chuong 3 High School in the integration period.
The school has also achieved the title of excellent advanced school for many consecutive years, and the School Union and Youth Union have been recognized for excellently completing their tasks.
With these achievements, last September, Thanh Chuong 3 High School was honored to be the only educational unit in the province to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
Mission, vision, new look
Entering the 2025-2035 period, Thanh Chuong 3 High School has determined a vision of modern development - integration - creativity, taking education quality as the foundation, people as the center, culture as the core. Continuing to maintain and promote the results of the school meeting national standards level 2, towards a happy school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Mai - Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training congratulated the great achievements that Thanh Chuong 3 High School has achieved in the past half century.
Currently, the country and homeland are entering a new stage of development with many important policies and guidelines for education and training. This is an opportunity but also poses many new responsibilities for Thanh Chuong 3 High School.
The Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training emphasized that the school needs to thoroughly grasp Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. At the same time, closely follow the action program of the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels to build and successfully implement the school development strategy for the period 2025 - 2030. In particular, it is necessary to focus on a number of key tasks, first of all, clearly defining the mission and vision of the school in the new period.
Continue to promote innovation, creativity, and digital transformation in teaching and learning. Focus on building a team of competent, dedicated, and enthusiastic teachers who motivate and inspire students; invest in and upgrade facilities and teaching equipment to meet the requirements of school development in the new period.
For students, it is necessary to promote pride, will, determination, and aspiration to excel; determine to study to mature themselves and contribute to their homeland and country.
In the coming time, the school needs to strengthen coordination and expand cooperation with agencies, departments, businesses, alumni, people... to mobilize social resources for education. From there, continue to invest and upgrade facilities and teaching equipment to meet the school's development requirements.
On this occasion, Thanh Chuong 3 High School was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal and Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. Many outstanding individuals of Thanh Chuong 3 High School also received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.
Over the past 50 years, Thanh Chuong 3 High School has been honored and proud to have received three noble awards from the President: Third-class Labor Medal (1995); Second-class Labor Medal in 2001 and the second time awarded the Third-class Labor Medal in 2025. Thanh Chuong 3 High School is one of the first in Nghe An province to be recognized as a national standard school: in 2009 it achieved national standard level 1, in 2022 it was recognized as a national standard school level 2. The school has been awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and Training and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province more than 30 times, along with many other noble awards.
