Mr. Vo Trong Hai was introduced to be elected as Chairman of Nghe An province.

Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, to be introduced for election to the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, term 2021 - 2026.

On the afternoon of November 17, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat on allowing Mr. Vo Trong Hai to stop participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, stop holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee; at the same time, appointing Mr. Hai to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, presented the decision of the Secretariat and flowers to congratulate Mr. Vo Trong Hai.

After being appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, Mr. Vo Trong Hai will be introduced to the People's Council of Nghe An province to elect the position of Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term, replacing Mr. Le Hong Vinh who has just been assigned by the Party Central Committee Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Quang Tri province to be introduced to be elected as Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.

This transfer is carried out according to the policy of the Politburo and Secretariat on arranging for the provincial People's Committee Chairman to not be a local person.

Mr. Vo Trong Hai was born in 1968, his hometown is Duc Tho commune, Ha Tinh province. From October 2008 to September 2011, he was the Chief of Cau Treo Border Gate Station, Ha Tinh; from October 2011 to April 2013, he was the Deputy Commander of Operations, Ha Tinh Border Guard; from May 2013 to July 2018, he was the Commander of Ha Tinh Border Guard.

In August 2018, Mr. Vo Trong Hai became Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee; in March 2019, he became Director of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police. From July 2020 to April 15, 2021, Mr. Hai was assigned by the Ministry of Public Security to be Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police. And from April 2021, Mr. Vo Trong Hai returned to Ha Tinh and was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
