As planned, from August 13, all admission data - including high school graduation exam scores, transcripts, and results of separate exams - have been uploaded by schools to the System for admission.
From August 17-20, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with two virtual filtering groups led by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (North) and Ho Chi Minh City National University (South). This process aims to ensure that each candidate is only admitted to one wish, in order of priority from highest to lowest. Once admitted to a higher wish, the candidate will no longer be on the admission list of the next wishes.
Previously, according to the plan, the virtual filtering process would end at 4:30 p.m. on August 20. From 5 p.m. on the same day, schools could announce the benchmark scores. However, at noon on August 20, the Ministry of Education and Training decided to postpone the announcement time to 5 p.m. on August 22.
According to the request of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates (including those who have been directly admitted) must confirm their admission online on the common system, no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 30. If they skip this step, they will be considered to have given up their admission wishes and their results will be canceled.
In addition, candidates need to follow the plan of the school they are admitted to complete the procedure. Universities often have their own admission plans with different requirements, posted on the website, official fanpage or sent by email, phone number, notice...
Schools that do not meet their enrollment quota will enroll additional students from September 1 to December 2025. If they have confirmed their enrollment, candidates will not be allowed to participate in the additional enrollment process, unless the principal allows them not to enroll.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2025, the number of candidates registering for admission will increase; for the first time, colleges will participate, there will be no early admission and the entire method will be implemented in Phase 1.
Therefore, to ensure accurate, fair and objective admission results, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends that training institutions carefully review all data and admission methods, ensuring that no candidates are missed or incorrectly identified as successful candidates; and limit errors arising during the admission process.
At the same time, carefully calculate the options, propose appropriate virtual ratios, avoid creating large virtual numbers, affecting the recruitment sources of other training institutions as well as recruiting beyond the target and training capacity of the training institution.
