Through the language of art, the performances by Vietnamese artists introduced the beauty of the country, people, and cultural characteristics of Vietnam, which, although geographically distant, is also very familiar and close to the Russian people, helping the audience feel the similarities and the interweaving of the two cultures of Vietnam and Russia. At the same time, they praised the strong friendship that has been tested over the years between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Impressed by the performance of Vietnamese artists, Mr. Sergey Kolotov from Saint Petersburg said: "The show was wonderful, from the images, costumes to the sound. I really liked the performance of the song Afternoon Moscow accompanied by traditional musical instruments. It was a wonderful creation.
Each performance has given us a certain curiosity about Vietnamese culture and if I have the chance, I will definitely come to Vietnam to explore more."
Watching the art program, Mr. Hoang Ky - who has lived in the Russian Federation for 30 years - expressed his emotions when he was "immersed" in a cultural space full of his homeland's identity right in Saint Petersburg.
"This is not only a precious spiritual food for us, the Vietnamese people living in Russia, but also an opportunity to promote Vietnamese culture to the wider Russian public. At the same time, it also reminds us of the long-standing tradition of solidarity between the two countries and two peoples.
"I would like to thank the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the agencies that organized this large-scale and meaningful program," said Mr. Hoang Ky.
Watching the program, Ms. Kim Lien said: "The performances are very attractive. Although I have only been in Russia for a short time, when listening to the artists' performances, I remember my homeland more. This is a very meaningful activity for the Vietnamese community in Russia, reminding the Vietnamese community to always remember the Fatherland and at the same time love Russia more."
Following the series of activities of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia in recent days, Mr. Do Hoang Hai said that after many years of living and working in the Russian Federation, this is the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia that impressed him the most.
"The art programs of both the opening night and the performance in Saint Petersburg were very attractive and highly creative. In particular, the performances combining the cultural characteristics of both Vietnam and the Russian Federation further enhanced the solidarity between the two peoples.
Besides art performances, activities such as film screenings, exhibitions or tourism promotion also create very positive effects, helping Vietnam to be more present and leave a stronger mark in the Russian Federation," Mr. Hoang Hai shared.
Briefing the press on the sidelines of an art performance at the Capella Theater, Saint Petersburg, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia 2024, which took place from July 1 to 6, was a great success.
According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, the success of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia is reflected in four aspects.
Firstly, Vietnam has proactively and actively implemented the Joint Statement on deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Russian Federation, during President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Vietnam on June 20. The Joint Statement identified the regular holding of Cultural Days between the two countries.
Second, from the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia, through art and the use of artistic language, we have helped the people of the two countries better understand each other's culture, country, and people, and better understand the long-standing and growing solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Third, the cultural content of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia is very rich and diverse. It does not stop at just art performances but also includes exhibition spaces about the country and people of Vietnam.
Fourth, through culture and based on cultural products, we promote the tourist destinations of Vietnam and Russia so that more Russian tourists come to Vietnam and vice versa, the number of Vietnamese tourists coming to Russia will increase in the future.
The Vietnam Cultural Days in the Russian Federation in 2024 have officially come to an end, opening a new, more brilliant page in the cultural, sports and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
