With the spirit of "only discussing action, not retreating", after more than 5 months of being launched by the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, focusing on after 60 days of implementing the Campaign "90 days and nights responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province"; by May 31, in Ninh Thuan province, 6/7 districts and cities had "reached the finish line" of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching 99.54% of the set plan.

Maximize resource mobilization

As the 6th locality to "reach the finish line" on schedule, the success of Thuan Bac district has proven that, with the initiative of the government, the cooperation of the community and a scientific approach, the housing problem for the poor can be solved in a short time. Comrade Pham Trong Hung, Chairman of Thuan Bac District People's Committee, said: During the construction process, in addition to the program's allocated funding (supported by the provincial budget and capital from the "For the Poor" Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province), the district mobilized construction material suppliers in the district to subsidize when households bought construction materials, which was converted into money of 421 million VND. At the same time, it propagated and mobilized households to contribute counterpart capital to build more spacious houses. Up to now, the counterpart capital of households is more than 11.99 billion VND; of which, more than 6.5 billion VND is from policy bank loans, the rest is contributed by households and clans. District and commune mass organizations, police and military units contributed 2,400 working days to help households build houses, equivalent to 720 million VND; the district military agency supported 80 million VND; the provincial police supported 3 houses, worth 240 million VND; the district Women's Union supported 30 million VND; the district Farmers' Association supported 12 million VND and 34 gifts for members; other associations and organizations contributed working days equivalent to 1.26 billion VND... With the participation of the entire political system, business community and people, Thuan Bac district has basically completed 507 houses under the XNT and NDN Program.

2,173 houses have been put into use.

As of May 31, the whole province had 2,173/2,183 units completed and put into use; 6/7 districts and cities have "reached the finish line", including: Ninh Hai 77 units, Phan Rang - Thap Cham 61 units, Ninh Son 273 units, Ninh Phuoc 126 units, Thuan Nam 297 units and Thuan Bac 507 units. Bac Ai district alone has completed 832/842 units, the remaining 10 units are expected to be completed this week.

Ms. Truong Thi Hoa (born in 2004), Cham ethnic group, living in Ward 12, Phuoc Dan town (Ninh Phuoc), is a near-poor household. With support from the XNT and NDN Program of Ninh Phuoc district (80 million VND), contributions from family, relatives (50 million VND) and organizations, neighbors... supporting 90 working days and some materials, her family now has a new house of over 100 square meters. Ms. Hoa excitedly shared: I never dared to think that my whole family would live in a house like this. Thank you to the government, the Fatherland Front, philanthropists, brothers and neighbors for caring and helping my family.

In Ma Noi commune (Ninh Son), May 25 was considered a "big festival" for the local people, when the remaining 53 new houses (phase 2) were handed over to households. Comrade Ma Nhong Nhip, Secretary of Ma Noi commune, said: The whole commune has 127 households supported to build new houses (without repairs) under the XNT, NDN Program, accounting for 46.5% of the total number of houses in the district. The poor and near-poor households supported are all ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances. With the motto of not letting people owe more money to build houses, the Commune Steering Committee supports the construction of houses for poor and near-poor households with working days and construction materials (sand, soil for pouring the foundation, etc.); thereby, the minimum area of ​​each house is over 40m2, some houses are over 60m2 and have a roof, bricks on the front of the house, each house has a toilet. The households with new houses are very excited and happy, no longer afraid of the upcoming storm season and promise to maintain environmental hygiene, unite to build a cultural residential area, actively participate in movements and programs for local socio-economic development, contributing to the development of Ma Noi commune.

To achieve the above results, Party committees, authorities, and organizations, especially leaders at all levels from the provincial to the grassroots, have promoted the highest responsibility of setting an example, being a pioneer, and being exemplary in carrying out tasks proactively, positively, effectively, flexibly, without waiting, relying on, or shirking responsibility; strictly ensuring standards, procedures, regulations, and compliance with the law in the process of supporting housing for people with the requirement of "3 no's" (no wrong subjects; no missing subjects; no petitions or complaints during and after the implementation process). In addition, press and media agencies in the province have done a good job of propaganda, creating social consensus for everyone to support, share, and share responsibility in caring for the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially the poor, the disadvantaged, and those in difficult circumstances so as not to be left behind when the country enters the era of development.
