Efforts to improve the people's lives.

“My family has no land for farming, my children are young, and life is difficult. Now, thanks to the support from the government and the Fatherland Front, who mobilized benefactors to build and donate a solidarity house, I am extremely grateful. I will try my best to work hard to improve my life and provide for my children's education,” shared Ms. Ho Thi Trinh, a household with particularly difficult circumstances in Phu Tan area, Hung Phu ward. Over the past three years, the Fatherland Front Committee in Phu Tan area has actively cared for and supported four households in many ways, helping them escape poverty. Currently, there are no longer any poor households in the area.

Representatives from the Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tan area visited and inquired about the living conditions of Ms. Ho Thi Trinh's family, who received a Solidarity House in 2025.

Ms. Trinh still hasn't forgotten the feeling of excitement and happiness when she moved into the "Great Solidarity" house, still faintly smelling of fresh paint, built with social mobilization support from the local authorities. For over 10 years of marriage, Ms. Trinh and her husband have earned a living as construction laborers. Having participated in building hundreds of houses of all sizes, Ms. Trinh has always dreamed of owning a small house of her own.

Ms. Trinh recounted: “During the house construction, officials from the local Fatherland Front Committee came and went, checking on our family to see if we needed anything or lacked anything, so they could provide timely support. Initially, a benefactor promised 50 million VND for our family to build the house. During the construction process, seeing the officials' enthusiasm and our family's cooperation in contributing labor to save costs, the contractor and sponsoring unit provided additional support to help my husband and I build a sturdy house worth about 100 million VND. On the housewarming day, ward officials and sponsors gave us many gifts and 2 million VND in cash. My husband and I were very happy.”

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong De, Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tan area, a large portion of the area is located within a long-term planning project, affecting the lives of the people. The Fatherland Front Committee of the area is stepping up propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. At the same time, they are actively caring for the people's lives. In the past three years, the area has supported the construction of 5 new "Great Solidarity" houses, totaling over 300 million VND, donated to poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult housing circumstances. Every year, the Fatherland Front Committee mobilizes support for more than 200 gift packages (each worth 300,000 VND or more) to support poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).

Simultaneously, local organizations manage two loan groups from the Social Policy Bank (NHCSXH), helping members and the public access preferential loans to develop their family economies , with outstanding loans totaling nearly 3.5 billion VND. The family of Ms. To Thi Tuyet Nhung, a women's association member, only owns two plots of land, cultivating a mixed garden with meager profits. Ms. Nhung was given the opportunity to access preferential loans from the NHCSXH, investing in opening a grocery store and renovating her garden to grow jackfruit as a specialized crop.

Ms. Nhung said: "Thanks to the grocery store, the family earns an additional income of over 300,000 VND per day, allowing us to provide our children with a better education. The jackfruit orchard alone is now bearing fruit, yielding over 30 million VND per year."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lua's family also faced difficult economic circumstances. With her husband ill, Ms. Lua struggled to make ends meet. "I received support from local officials to apply for a loan from the Social Policy Bank to buy and sell farm produce, fish, and meat. I also bought a cart and went around selling my goods in many neighboring areas. Thanks to that, I earned over 200,000 VND per day," Ms. Lua shared.

Mr. Nguyen Cong De, Head of the Front Committee for the area, informed: "In 2022, the area had 4 poor households. Over the past 3 years (2022-2024), the area has helped all 4 households escape poverty. In 2025, after review, the area still has 5 households classified as near-poor. We will continue to coordinate and assign responsibilities to organizations to sponsor and support members and union members who are classified as poor or near-poor households. In addition, we will focus on mobilizing social resources to care for and support people to overcome difficulties and develop production."

Mr. Dang Van Chau, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Phu Ward, noted: “The Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tan area has made many efforts in disseminating information and mobilizing people to comply well with the Party's policies, the State's laws, and the campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels; at the same time, actively mobilizing social resources to care for social welfare, thanks to which many households have been able to improve their lives and achieve stability.”
