About 30km from Moc Chau town, this place appears after winding roads along the mountainside, opening up a peaceful space with stilt houses. Life in the village is not only closely connected to the mountains and forests but also imbued with the spirit of community creativity.
Locals and artists join hands to restore traditional crafts, organize night markets, preserve identity and open the door to welcome visitors to a vibrant art space.

The road to Chieng Di has sharp turns, but in return is fresh air, pristine scenery and a peaceful pace of life. The xoè dances, folk songs, bustling festivals and colorful highland markets make this place an ideal destination for those who love nature and exploring culture. Trekking in the primeval forest, cycling through villages or rowing a boat on the clear lake are experiences not to be missed.
But more than that, Chieng Di offers the opportunity to learn about local life, listen to stories passed down through generations about ancestors, about the love of the land and the strong bonds of the community. Traveling is not only about setting foot on a new land but also a journey to understand the values that make up the soul of that place.
The ethnic communities in Chieng Di are mainly Thai, Muong, Mong with traditional occupations such as animal husbandry, brocade weaving, and indigo dyeing. Thanks to the development of community tourism, the village is wearing new colors, both preserving its identity and integrating with modern life. If in the past, the colorful brocades only appeared during festivals, now they have become a favorite tourism product, carrying the story of hard-working women who patiently dye each thread of fabric with the color of forest leaves. The cultural space here is not static but always moving and changing, but in that change, the core values are still preserved.
A special highlight of Chieng Di is Ban Art Stay - an art accommodation space founded by artist Pho An My. This is a sustainable community project, where traditional culture and contemporary art intersect and shine together. Designed in harmony with nature, using local materials, Ban Art Stay offers a sophisticated open space, reflecting the artist's aesthetic taste. Not only a stopover, this place is also a creative center, initiating many cultural andeducational activities, supporting the local community, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values.
Chieng Di Night Market is one of the unique activities that attracts tourists to connect with local products, cuisine, folk art and daily life of village residents. In addition, visitors also have the opportunity to participate in colorful art performances such as enjoying symphony concerts in the mountains and forests, admiring painting exhibitions, installation art or inspiring craft workshops. The persistent efforts of this project not only bring art closer to the community but also create more livelihoods, improve people's lives and promote sustainable tourism development.
Chieng Di-Van Ho is gradually becoming a bright spot on the Northwest cultural tourism map. With its wild landscape, unique identity and meaningful community tourism projects, this place offers authentic and profound experiences. When the sunset covered the terraced fields in gold, I left Chieng Di with the echoes of the Khen sound, the taste of Can wine, the colors of brocade on the sleeves and the gentle smiles of the local people. Come to Chieng Di to feel the breath of the mountains and forests, find peace and preserve the cultural values intact over time.
