Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chi Quang, Chairman of the People's Council of Hue City emphasized: Dirty and poor quality food is still a major concern for the whole society. Recently, many cases causing public confusion have been discovered by the authorities such as dirty internal organs, chemically treated food, dirty food of unknown origin that potentially poses a risk to public health; daily essential foods containing banned chemicals are silently poisoning consumers. This is not only an ethical issue, but also a stern warning for all of us - producers, traders, processors, and consumers.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has launched the "Farmers with Food Safety" movement since 2016 and has created a widespread influence. In addition, the No. 1 Coordination Program between the Government , the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Vietnam Women's Union on "Propaganda and mobilization for production and trading of safe agricultural products and food for community health and sustainable development" has been actively implemented by many practical and effective activities at all levels.

With the theme "Hue City Farmers produce, trade and consume quality and safe agricultural products", the Hue City Farmers' Association continues to affirm its determination to accompany farmers in building a safe value chain from production to consumption, gradually turning local agricultural products into branded goods, meeting market demand.

Support the safe civet farming production development model for typical farmers of Phong An ward

At the launching ceremony, branches, professional farmer groups, cooperative groups and cooperatives in Phong Dien town signed a commitment to concretize the production, business and consumption of quality and safe agricultural products. On this occasion, the Farmers' Association of Hue city supported the model of developing safe civet farming production for typical farmer members in Phong An ward.

After the ceremony, the Organizing Committee organized a parade of cars on the streets calling for raising awareness in the movement "Hue City farmers produce, trade and consume safe agricultural products".
