Speaking to Dan Tri reporter on the morning of April 14, artist Kim Tu Long said that after reporting the loss of more than 100 million VND when buying insurance, he received a call from a representative of the insurance company. After the discussion, the insurance company proposed a meeting to work directly with the male artist. The specific time of the appointment has not been specifically stated by the insurance company.

Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long shared more with Dan Tri reporter: "I agreed to attend the appointment even though I did not know how the insurance company would handle it. Personally, I do not want to criticize harshly, make things worse or criticize the company, but only want to reflect on the shortcomings of the company's employees. I think they should show customers that customers are respected, that the company is reputable and professional. As for how the insurance company will handle it after hearing it, that is their business. I do not affirm that there is no need to get back that amount of more than 100 million VND, but I will wait and see what solution they come up with. Hopefully the insurance company will have a goodwill attitude."

Previously, on April 13, artist Kim Tu Long attracted attention when he told the story of losing more than 100 million VND after 3 years of paying for insurance for his son. He said the life insurance contract he bought cost more than 40 million VND per year.

The artist shared that at first, when he was offered insurance, the consultants always welcomed him enthusiastically. In the first two years after signing the contract, he was still reminded by the consultants every time the deadline came. However, in the fourth year, no one reminded him to pay and Kim Tu Long himself did not remember to pay the insurance.

In the 5th year, Kim Tu Long suddenly remembered that he had bought insurance and searched his contacts to contact the consultant who had advised him, only to find out that this person had quit his job. He called the company and was informed that the contract had been canceled because he had not paid according to regulations for the past 2 years.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter on the evening of April 13, Ms. Pham Thu Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision ( Ministry of Finance ) said that she had received information about the case of artist Kim Tu Long claiming to have lost insurance money after 3 years of payment.

"After receiving the information, the Department asked the insurance company to review the specifics of this case and report back to the Department," Ms. Phuong informed. After collecting the information, the Department will publicize the review content.

The head of the Insurance Management and Supervision Department said that businesses must proactively review and report back. "Many customers reported on the media that they lost money, implying that businesses were dishonest and fraudulent. However, to know for sure, we need to check and clarify further," said Ms. Phuong.
