Dedicated female commune police officer

Having worked at the Provincial Police Staff Department, at the end of 2023, Major Bui Thuan Thao Linh volunteered to go to the local area and was assigned to work at Dien Thanh Commune Police. As a Deputy Chief of Commune Police, Major Linh is always proactive in following the area, researching and advising on the implementation of many appropriate measures, bringing high efficiency in ensuring security and order (ANTT). Although she is a female officer, Major Linh is always active and enthusiastic in all activities of the unit as well as assigned tasks. Every night, Major Linh still patrols the area with her brothers, roaming the streets and alleys, promptly detecting and handling all kinds of crimes and law violations, with the desire to keep the area peaceful.

Remember, at about 11pm one day before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, the Commune Police received a report that at Cau Lung intersection in Phu Khanh Ha village, Dien Thanh commune, a traffic accident occurred between a sleeper bus and a truck, injuring many people, the driver and the bus assistant were trapped in the cabin. While on duty, Major Linh mobilized forces to coordinate with the commune militia to urgently arrive at the scene to protect the scene. With the support of the people, Major Linh directed the forces to rescue the two people trapped in the cabin and take the injured to the emergency room in time.

Along with the work of ensuring security and order, in implementing the tasks of Project 06, Major Linh has had many creative ways to help the locality soon complete the assigned targets. In July 2024, when the Law on Identification officially took effect, the police force of the whole province entered the peak period of receiving ID card applications, especially for citizens aged 1 to 14 years old. In order to complete the targets assigned by the district, Major Linh proactively contacted and coordinated with the Board of Directors of Dien Thanh Primary School to propagate and mobilize parents to bring their children under 14 years old to the commune to make ID cards. At the same time, he directed the grassroots security and order forces and community digital technology teams in the villages to go to each house to propagate, support and guide people to register procedures on the Public Service Portal, thereby helping people to make ID cards quickly and conveniently. With a flexible and appropriate approach, Dien Thanh commune has completed the assigned target ahead of schedule in the entire district with the rate of receiving ID card applications for citizens under 14 years old reaching 175%.

In early 2025, implementing the policy of the Ministry of Public Security on the integration of health insurance cards and electronic health books on the VNeID application, Major Linh and the grassroots security forces went to meet with community digital technology teams to implement the task. With the motto of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person", directly guiding and supporting people to implement, with the enthusiasm of the Commune Police, the grassroots security forces and members of the community digital technology team, up to now, Dien Thanh commune is also one of the communes that completed the integration of health insurance cards and electronic health books early with an integration rate of over 80%.

Mr. Pham Trong Duy - Chairman of Dien Thanh Commune People's Committee said that although he has only been working in the locality for more than a year, Major Bui Thuan Thao Linh, together with the Dien Thanh Commune Police, has excellently completed the assigned tasks. The security and order situation in the locality has always been maintained stably, crime and social evils have been clearly controlled. In particular, the commune has always been a unit that has excellently fulfilled the targets and tasks in Project 06 of the Government. That result not only creates conditions for the locality to develop its socio -economy but also helps people feel secure in their work and production.

For many consecutive years, she has achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; received many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Public Security and all levels. Currently, Major Linh is being proposed by the Emulation and Reward Council of the Provincial Police to the Ministry of Public Security to consider awarding the "Excellent Female Grassroots Police Officer" award in 2024.
