Businesswoman Madam Truyen and Kingtek Pickleball Club win big at Malaysia international pickleball tournament

In her first time 'bringing the bell to strike in a foreign land', businesswoman Madam Truyen and Kingtek Pickleball Club made a splash with impressive achievements at the recently concluded 2025 Malaysia International Pickleball Tournament (KL Open Pickleball Malaysia Championship).

Emotional comeback to the throne

Having not been involved in this "hot trend" sport for long, but with her utmost passion, businesswoman Madam Truyen, in addition to her role as President and Head of the Kingtek Pickleball Club, also boldly registered to compete in the 2025 Malaysia International Pickleball Tournament.

In the mixed doubles category for the over 35 age group (semi-professional category), Madam Truyen and Dinh Van Truong unexpectedly won the championship. In the group stage, Madam Truyen and her doubles partner only finished second, enough to qualify for the next round. However, the further they went into the tournament, the better the Kingtek Pickleball Club pair played. Thereby, they defeated their opponents in the round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals to reach the final.

It was quite interesting that the final match recreated the group stage encounter between Madam Truyen/Dinh Van Truong and Tee Wei Yhin/Teo Kheng Hoe. In the group stage, the Vietnamese pair lost 8/15 but successfully avenged their defeat with a spectacular comeback in the final. The home pair started the match strongly, continuously leading the score against Madam Truyen/Dinh Van Truong, but the Kingtek Pickleball Club representative persevered, cherishing every ball, equalizing the score 17/17 before rising to win 21/19 and becoming the champion.

Previously, Madam Truyen and former Vietnamese tennis player Hoang Thanh Trung competed in the Open category for the over-35 age group and won the right to enter the quarter-finals. In addition, Kingtek Pickleball Club also won the gold medal in the men's doubles category for the over-19 age group in the semi-professional category with the pair Nguyen Dinh Chuyen/Le Hung Thien and the bronze medal in the men's singles category for the over-19 age group in the open category with Hoang Thanh Trung.

Spread the passion

Businesswoman Madam Truyen, president of Kingtek Pickleball Club, said: "Coming to pickleball, I have nothing but passion. It is my passion for this trendy sport that makes me spend a lot of time practicing and learning. Passion alone is not enough, I want to spread my love for this sport to everyone. That is the reason we launched Kingtek pickleball rackets, which have been well received by many people with positive effects. I also founded Kingtek Pickleball Club in the spirit of connecting and sharing passion. I myself boldly took up my racket to compete to spread my passion to everyone."

Businesswoman Madam Truyen added that the first time Kingtek Pickleball Club competed abroad, they achieved more success than expected at the Malaysia International Pickleball Tournament. This is the motivation for Kingtek Pickleball Club to aim to conquer the next tournaments in the near future. "I am very happy that the team participated in the tournament with a small force, mainly aiming to compete but achieved more success than expected. What I am most happy about is that after the match, foreign athletes proactively interacted and learned about the Kingtek racket product that we just launched in February 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City," businesswoman Madam Truyen shared.
