Half a century and outstanding literary and artistic works of Dong Nai artists

Together with the people of the whole country, “The city of boundless wind, vast clouds, with a river carrying rosy sunshine” is filled with the joyful and proud atmosphere of the historic April days. With that joy, the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association organizes an exhibition and honors typical and excellent works 50 years after the country's reunification by soldiers on the "cultural front" of Dong Nai province.

Many generations of artists gathered under the "common roof" to relive the unforgettable years of the nation and look back on the half-century journey of building and developing the province's arts and literature.

Talent shines

The sacred Dragon Land of “sweet water and gentle wind” with more than 325 years of solid form on the map of Vietnam with the source of Dong Nai culture, the heroic spirit of Tran Bien has produced excellent children, generously opening their hearts to welcome many generations of writers “when they come here, they stay here”, and then “grow roots and trees” on the “good land”, building a no less massive Eastern literary and artistic legacy. These are writers full of heroic spirit, steadfast of the pioneers, ready to commit, ready to join, creating a distinct literary genre… typically the Green Forest Poet “Sword on the back, soft hand with flower pen” - Huynh Van Nghe, a writer of the Riverbank Land who has gone through three wars, “Each line, each page of the book must be paid for with a lifetime, with hundreds of thousands of sacrifices” leaving behind a rather massive body of work in both the fields of literature and cinema - writer Hoang Van Bon. That is the person who left today's readers the happiness of living in a Dong Nai land that is extremely rich in landscapes, people, and historical and cultural foundations with deep humanity that have existed for generations: "The writer of the forest road" Ly Van Sam. His creative experience contributed to training generations of Dong Nai artists to follow in their writing career for a better life, for the happiness of people and society.

Artists have left their mark on the people's hearts with works closely linked to history, vividly reflecting the breath of the times, carrying within them the spirit of innovation, creativity, and integration while still imbued with national identity.

Looking back over the past 5 decades, it can be affirmed that: Dong Nai is not only a land rich in cultural traditions but also a place where many generations of talented artists converge and develop. From this land, the pioneers have diligently and persistently laid the foundation and painstakingly cultivated the province's cultural and artistic works with literary, musical , painting, photography, sculpture works... contributing significantly to the general artistic flow of the whole country, positioning and naming Dong Nai on the map of Vietnamese literature and art.

The common roof of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association is the place where many works were born, many talents shined, continuing the proud achievements of the generation of literary and artistic fathers. Life changes, new trends appear, but the core remains unchanged - that is the spirit of patriotism, the desire to rise up, the unique cultural identity of Dong Nai land. The appearance of young artists brings new thinking, new breath, at the same time inheriting the quintessence of their predecessors, creating a cultural and artistic appearance that is both modern and traditional, meeting the increasing enjoyment needs of the public. Musician Le Hang, painter Doan Minh Ngoc, choreographer Viet Bac, photographer Nguyen An, sculptor Tran Dinh Thang... are outstanding, typical faces, full of courage and confidence to open new routes. They are full of youth, have many valuable works and have a strong influence on the public, creating the mark of Dong Nai in the general cultural and artistic scene of the whole country and the world. Works of poetry, musicals, fine arts, photography, research projects... continue to contribute sweet, profound melodies, vivid, colorful pictures honoring the homeland, country and people of Dong Nai.

The concerns about war, the post-war period, or the country's transition to innovation in the works of artists and writers are always there, challenging time...

Throughout the past, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has always carried within itself a noble mission: to build a team of talented and dedicated artists, to sow fragrant flowers and sweet fruits on the field of literature. The Association's leadership through the periods has become increasingly stable, steering the ship of literature and arts to the shore, working side by side with artists to accompany the cause of industrialization and modernization through literary and artistic works, actively propagating and encouraging the program of building new rural areas, activating tourism, promoting and introducing the beauty of the country - people of Dong Nai to domestic and international friends, enriching and diversifying the cultural and spiritual life of the people in the integration period, contributing to building new people, new factors with new breath, new vision, in a new appearance.

A half-century journey with different levels of development, but the creative spirit of Dong Nai artists has never diminished. Standing at the threshold of the future, the whole country is moving into a new era, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association is proud of what has been done, and together reminds us, not forgetting our responsibility to literature and arts. Generations of artists have continued to nurture the flame of passion, together writing new pages of history, bringing Dong Nai Literature and Arts further and further, firmly on the traditional foundation, constantly innovating to keep up with the times, worthy of being the pride of the homeland, the voice of the soul of Dong Nai people.
