Dong Nai focuses on exploiting and promoting effectively a number of strong fields such as: advertising, cinema, design, applied arts, handicrafts and cultural tourism . The province aims to form a number of cultural and industrial clusters in potential areas such as Bien Hoa, Long Khanh, Nhon Trach... and build a mechanism to encourage social investment in this field.
Dong Nai focuses on preserving and promoting the values of national cultural heritage such as historical relics, traditional festivals, and folk arts to create a content foundation for cultural industry. Along with that is promoting the application of science and technology , digital transformation in creating, producing, distributing, and promoting cultural products.
One of Dong Nai's greatest advantages in developing cultural industries is its favorable geographical location, located in the Southern key economic zone, near Ho Chi Minh City, the largest cultural industry center in the country. This is a condition for the province to connect markets, cooperate, exchange and learn from previous localities' experiences in developing cultural industries. In addition, Dong Nai has rich cultural heritage resources, many traditional craft villages, folk artisans, and a diverse cultural community such as the Vietnamese, Choro, Chinese, Cham, etc., creating great potential for developing unique cultural products. Infrastructure, transportation, and urbanization development are also a solid foundation for attracting investment in the cultural sector.
However, the development of cultural industry in Dong Nai is still facing many difficulties. The most obvious is that the technical infrastructure serving cultural industry is still limited, lacking creative spaces, large-scale exhibition and performance centers. The human resources with deep expertise in cultural industry management, cultural marketing, and creative technology are still lacking and weak. The work of promoting local cultural product brands is not professional, not creating strong attraction in the market. Attracting investment in this field is also difficult, mainly due to the lack of attractive incentive mechanisms...
For the cultural industry to truly become a growth driver, Dong Nai is in dire need of the synchronous participation of the political system, the business community and the people themselves. This is the key for Dong Nai to successfully achieve the goal of making the cultural industry a spearhead economic sector in the coming time.
