On the afternoon of November 10, the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to announce and present the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Attending the conference were Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Head of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Quang Duong.
According to the decision of the Politburo , Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was mobilized and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Previously, at the 14th Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was born on March 21, 1974, hometown: Tinh Hai commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province; professional qualification: Master of Economics.
The new Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee has held positions such as: Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Head of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy, Head of the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Areas under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
From January 2019 to February 2020, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. From March 2020 to November 2024, he held the position of Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. In November 2024, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; in October 2025, he was re-elected as Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
The current Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee is Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc. The Deputy Secretaries include Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Van Phong, Nguyen Duc Trung, Nguyen Trong Dong, and Phung Thi Hong Ha.
