Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan holds the position of Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee

On November 17, the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province, term XIV, 2021-2026, held the 8th session to review and decide on personnel work contents under its authority according to regulations.

The meeting heard the Report of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council on the dismissal of Mr. Pham Hoang Son from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term XIV, 2021-2026, who was assigned by the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030; and approved the Resolution on confirming the results of the dismissal of Mr. Pham Hoang Son from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

After listening to the Report of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council on the introduction of personnel, the Session elected Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 14th term, 2021-2026 term.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that he will always uphold principles, discipline, and order, and together with the members of the Provincial People's Committee, build a Committee of solidarity, unity, democratic spirit, and collective intelligence.

Along with that, promoting the responsibility of each individual, acting decisively, creatively, effectively, coordinating, supporting each other, promoting the achieved results, overcoming difficulties, synchronously implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, the orientations and directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo , and the Secretariat in the new development period to best complete the set development targets, focusing on GRDP growth reaching and exceeding double digits.

According to Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, to successfully carry out assigned tasks, Thai Nguyen needs to focus on implementing key tasks such as continuing to maintain discipline and administrative order, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, resolutely handling harassment, negativity, fear of responsibility, and working half-heartedly causing stagnation.

The land of the first tea needs to perfect the two-tier local government model, promote decentralization, delegation of authority and administrative reform, in which digital transformation is identified as one of the strategic breakthroughs.

In addition, the province focuses on completing the adjustment of the Provincial Planning for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050, reviewing and supplementing strategic traffic routes and diversifying forms of attracting investment resources from society; adding more land fund area for industrial development; quickly investing in infrastructure and attracting secondary investors for established industrial parks.

At the same time, the locality will prioritize comprehensively consolidating the system of dikes, dams and irrigation works, adjusting and promulgating construction and urban infrastructure standards and regulations suitable for climate change adaptation requirements, in order to minimize the risks of flooding, landslides and extreme events.

Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan was born on October 3, 1977, his hometown is Bac Ninh province. Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan has a PhD in Business Administration, a Master's degree in Educational Management and a Senior Degree in Political Theory.

- Before May 2015, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan was Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union.

- From May 2015 to June 2020, Mr. Tuan held the position of Secretary of the Bac Ninh City Party Committee.

- From July 2020 to July 2024, he held the position of Vice Chairman, then Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province.

- On July 31, 2024, Mr. Tuan was elected by the 19th Bac Ninh Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, to hold the position of Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.

- As of July 1, 2025, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan is Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province (new) for the 2021-2026 term.

- On September 30, 2025, at the 1st Congress of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, Mr. Tuan was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

- On November 15, 2025, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan was transferred, assigned, and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
